  1. My wrist is 6.75", I have a 42 and a 45mm version, and am definitely liking the 45 better!
  2. You shouldn't just shove it in. You need to remove the back, and anti magnetic shield. Locate the tiny button near where the stem enters the movement. Use a small screwdriver to press the button, and gently insert the stem until it clicks in to place.
  3. I leave mine on the sink when I take a long hot shower, and have never had any fog inside the watch. All you can really do is to grease the gasket and ensure the caseback is firmly tight. If the watch does not fog up from being in the same room whilst showering, its likely as good as its going to be.
  4. Perhaps, or maybe they are just up-selling their "Emergency" line!
  5. You will notice that the Navitimer you have makes no reference to being water resistant anywhere on the case. That is because even the genuine is not waterproof (3 Bars - resistant to splashing, 5 Bars is required for swimming). It is a pilots watch, not a divers watch. The reason is that because the sliderule is positioned inside the crystal, the whole bezel/crystal/sliderule assembly must spin. I would think that it would be impossible to get a moveable piece to be water tight.
  6. I'll bring the cake and balloons!
  7. Coincidentally, I was reading this the other day...
  8. What tool is actually used to apply the lume?
  9. And I was just about to win a gold Sub!
  10. $100 - $125 (tops incl. shipping) Looks in great condition!
  11. That is gen isn't it?
  12. Just go to a decent little shop. Don't mention its a rep, just have him size it. My watchmaker complemented me on what he obviously thought was the real deal.
  13. Not usually. Some are for show only. Some, have all working parts but are missing gaskets. The environment that a helium valve is used is far beyond what your rep will withstand anyway.
  14. VC right now, but I'm fighting the urge to buy something genuine on my lunch break.
  15. @phoband - thanks for clearing that up.
  16. If nothing else this topic has shown that most members have no clue as to the legalities of owning/importing replica watches in their own countries. You would think that knowing the laws would be one of the first things to learn when participating in such an activity.
  17. Thanks Phoband. I was aware that the Silx version was not the same as the Trusty/Josh version. I was just frustrated at Silx for not having pics available. He did sate "Latest Version", which is the Ultimate version last I heard. The site had pics of what appeared to be the 4th gen with a note saying "pics to be updated". I'm not doubting that the Silx version isn't a nice watch, but I couldn't buy without being certain of what I was going to receive.
