  1. Great first post. Spam somewhere else please.
  2. Just to add that the dial swap works best on the 6-9-12 Navis. The date window on the gen 7753 is slightly more outboard than the modified 7750, so you will see the outer edge of the datewheel and the font will be off centered, with the tricompax model.
  3. Wouldn't surprise me. I've seen them for about $100 from resellers who are far removed from china, so $18 at the source would be fairly close to what I'd expect.
  4. I'm sticking with the plain old white Apple ear buds until someone comes out with wireless ones. Just too much external noise in the city to get any benefit from high end buds.
  5. Problem with someone like you is that as soon as you send the watch, the emails start. Did you get it? is it done yet? is it mailed yet? People like you just never stop with the questions. Not necessarily a bad trait, if you happen to spend your time exclusively with women.
  6. Modding watches is a sideline for Zig. He has a real job as well. Can you imagine how much time and effort would be involved if every client sent 8 or 10 emails? I'm sure all your questions were answered on the first email. Payment and shipping info is quite clearly stated in the services document. Unfortunately, no soup for you.
  7. Thats the spirit gentlemen! I know that watch will have a lifetime of significance for Teej, not only because he wore it on his wedding day, but because of the spirit in which it was acquired. Good on all of you!
  8. I recently picked up an ajoesmith DG4813 to replace the ailing movement in my black UPO Lite. As the new movements only come with white datewheels, ripped apart the old movement, removed the black datewheel, and over the lunch hour stopped by my loacal watchsmith to do the transplant. As I walked in he was in the middle of a battery replacement on a ladies watch and he asked me if I could come back in 15 minutes. No problem, but as I only had ten dollars in my pocket, I asked him what the bill would be. He glanced at the movement the looked at me and asked "could you bring me back a large double double from Tim Hortons?" With our ailing dollar its no wonder that Tim's coffee has become our new currency! BTW, I broached the subject of him working on reps. He seemed to have no problems with it. So for anybody in downtown Toronto who might need services like dial and hand swaps, crystal replacement, movement servicing, etc., I know someone
  9. Somebody has got to have something nice to lend! Unfortunately 9 days wouldn't like be enough time for me, but some generous soul must live near by.
  10. This one looks gen, but the rest of the pics look fake.
  11. I've seen one member that received a DOA BS, and another where the crown fell apart. Who knows how many of these things are out there though.
  12. Great pics d4m! That is one beautiful wath to look at. You are a lucky man, and your wife has impeccable taste.
  13. Problem is that the BS V2 is an expensive piece to begin with, and by the time you finish putting it together you will have about $1000 invested. Nice watch, but I would never spend that much on a rep. I'm sure some out there might.
  14. Enjoy your special day Jen!
  15. Another sweet looking ling Lani. Thanks for sharing mate!
  16. that looks sweet! What color does the gen glow? You are a lucky man Toad!
  17. Man, what an awesome tutorial! Obviously this is going to take a bit of time to digest fully, but wow! Finally an explanation of how the Bentley slide rule works! Guys have been looking for this for a long time! Kudos my friend, another stellar effort!
  18. Canada rules at hockey. Its nice to see that after a few "lean" years, Hockey Canada has started to take these international tournaments seriously again. We used to win all the time, but when we started allowing the europeans to play in our junior leagues, our dominance slipped. With the Olympics putting international hockey back in the spotlight, we decided to put more resources behind our teams, both junior and pro, and the results speak for themselves. Congrats Team Canada, you played as expected, with pride, heart and true grit!
  19. The legend is very accurate but it suffers from the same sunken datewheel issue as the Navi. Remember that the legend can only be worn on a bracelet so it's not as versitile. Take all this into account and decide what is best for you.
  20. Congrats, have a great birthday!
  21. It takes time to reach china. Especially given the time of year. Give it another week or two before you panic.
  22. ETAs may be at a premium, but are these actually ETAs? Visually I cant tell the difference anymore.
  23. merry Christmas mate! Excuse any spelling errors, posting with my new ipod touch
  24. Looks great Lan, but as you probably know, I prefer Breits on gen straps or authentic rep straps. Of the non-OEM straps I have seen, this one looks the nicest though!
