  1. Search for SMP Chrono, there is a ton of info on this watch. As a side question, is the black version of this watch real? Its fantasy right?
  2. Nonetheless I'd prefer a reduced Omega Speedy to an Oris with faux chronos
  3. Truth of the matter is that the Skyland V1 & V2 are available for much cheaper than what our main dealers are selling them for. I've seen the V1 for $165 and the V2 for $220. A lot of guys will buy several at this price, then sell the extras at the price Josh sells them for, reducing the cost of their "keeper" watch. Thats what happens when their are major price differences, people take advantage.
  4. Wonderful pics and a great watch. Seems you got a really good pearl as well. I really like the the bracelet as well. The uniquely angled link pieces really give it a rugged look.
  5. All good choices. Why not choose the one you like best?
  6. I believe most dealers can still get the V2. Take a look here... http://www.joshwatch.com/bl10007-chrono-av...aph-p-1944.html
  7. With all those watches, he shouldn't be too hard to spot in Poland
  8. Excuse me for being pessimistic, but tales of personal woe seem to be a normal pattern when dealers or sellers go south. Don't get me wrong, I sympathize with Jakub if his claim is true, but I have seen this kind of thing too many times to believe it fully. This thread is well over a month old, and early posters were complaining of 2 month waits, and lack of communication then. He answered with the "I was on vacation" excuse. As weeks passed and the problems didn't, he answered with the "dead family member" excuse. Shades of RBJ and TWP I'm afraid
  9. I agree, the new version has far too many flaws. The old one was almost perfect. And I'm with BT, I really like the red dialed version better. Pity.
  10. I'd guess that it has been set to invisible until these issues have been resolved. In my experience that rarely ever seems to happen.
  11. The link to the other thread seems to go nowhere. I'm assuming thats a bad thing
  12. Surprisingly, the only watch that left me a little disappointed was the Breitling SFSO. Not that it isn't one of the best reps out there, its just that it did nothing for me when I put it on my wrist. I like it better on rubber or leather, but it has been relegated to being my "water" watch, and I hardly ever wear it.
  13. Great review Toad, although this one reads more like a finely crafted novel! I happen to be wearing my SMP Chrono as I read this, and couldn't help but admire it between every paragraph. Although it may not be the "best" rep out of the box, it is certainly in the top ten, and with the lack of a good SMP rep, it makes this one all the more desirable. People, if you don't have one of these beauties, pick one up before they stop making them!
  14. I disagree. With the exception of the "perfect Sub", a perfect SMP rep would likely be one of the most popular watches that could be made. A "must have" for every collection.
  15. Dave's is a Super Avenger, unless he has a pimped out Evo as well?
  16. Its hard to tell you specifically as the link you posted is in another language. The current bid appears to be at 1000 euros or about $1400 US. With very little effort I was able to find this one for $1800 US... http://www.chrono24.com/en/search/index.ht...p;numresults=56 So, I think the current price is fair, but I probably wouldn't go much higher.
  17. Sweet! I thought it might be a gen, but the 4 on the datewheel didn't look right. Is it an ETA datewheel or a Breitling datewheel?
  18. you mean a second hand second hand
  19. Awesome pics mate! Tell me about the Chrono Avenger. Looks like a V1, gen dial, with a longer second hand.
  20. Nice watch Dave, probably my favorite bentley. If you side to get rid of it for a fourth time...
  21. It feels substantial, but once you are used to some of the bigger, heavier watches around, it starts to feel a little small. Its exactly the same size and weight as the gen though. Josh is as good as anyone to deal with. As for using the chronos, I have three A7750s and use the chronos all the time. Never had an issue, and the oldest is pushing 5 years.
  22. Actually, this time he is LR The Silix rubber strap is designed for the Silix 45mm PO which has slightly different hole positions on the lugs. When these straps are fitted to an UPO, the strap will pop out between the lugs occasionally. Larger springbars help, but do not always solve the problem. For an UPO, he would be better to buy Josh's strap, which is much better quality and built to fit the UPO.
  23. I can confirm what the others have said. You shouldn't have to pay any duties provided you don't use FedEx or DHL. Use either EMS or registered mail and you will have no problems. If theoretically you were hit up for duties on the value of the gen watch, the simple solution would be to refuse delivery, after consultation with your dealer of course.
  24. Wow, what a great review and with awesome pics to boot! Thanks mate!
