  1. Amazing watch! Love the classic Steve Jobs pic as well!
  2. That is really a nice watch you have there Lan. The V2 Skyland is certainly a winner, and I have a feeling that we will be crowning it the "Rep of the Year" in a few months. I cant wait for one of these, but it looks like its going to be a while
  3. Wonder if those are Genuine Rolex real aftermarket dials, or if they are Asian replicas of genuine Rolex real aftermarket dials?
  4. I'm on vacation and decided to play 9 holes this morning. Got stuck behind two groups of women and it was the most painful golf experience ever. Remeber, the origin of the word GOLf come from a sign at an old Scottish course... Gentlemen Only. Ladies Forbidden.
  5. That would be Discovery110, not "Defender". Breitling is very strict, and don't sell parts to just anyone. They are also very expensive. What usually becomes available is dials with minor flaws, or old stock. As the Skyland is new, don't expect to see any gen dials for quite some time. As the previous poster stated, Discovery110 seems to hame an "in" with an AD and is able to source gen parts, but be prepared to pay for them!
  6. That insert looks really nice. I wonder if the insert would fit on the SMP Chrono?
  7. Boys, I'm off to visit my American Neighbors to the south for a few days. See if you can have this rapped up by the time I get back! Lets keep it under 30 pages okay
  8. Yeah, that one has been sitting in the vault waiting for the perfect time @Pug, it'd be a great signature, but I'll need a monthly royalty cheque
  9. I've got the inferior 2nd edition and love it! That said, I'd love to upgrade if it were available!

All the same doc. You might want to look at Repgeek, there is one available for about $180 right now
  11. Nice, but this is one watch that you need to have the ProII with.
  12. TT, it was never my intent to bash RWG. Its just that some of our longest standing and most knowledgeable members happen to be members of the team. I'd love to hear their (you included ) points of view. Also, as the LWL thread began here, has any action ever been taken against them, and would further indiscretions be reason for action being taken against them here? Don't get me wrong, I'm not insinuating that J&A have any physical control over the team here or anywhere else, but I do think they may have a less obvious hold over us. Lets face it, these guys certainly are the most powerful dealers around, they've been around for a long time, and they are well connected. Any action against them could potentially hurt RWG, as it may hurt RWI. Just interested in your opinion mate! Cheers, Andreww
  13. I am slightly disappointed that there has been no comment here by the Admin or any Mods. Repgeek has decided to ignore the subject completely. Now, everybody says the same thing, "J&A have no interests in our forum, and no influence in what we do", but with such a volatile topic, one has to wonder why the "radio silence" from everybody but the RWI crew?????
  14. I believe that there likely is some kind of ownership or agreement at RepGeek. No proof, just a gut feeling. Never really stood by them. Dealers are all snakes IMO, some more venomous than others, but they all have good and bad points. I'll give J&A props for what they do best, but I'll never defend lying and cheating.
  15. @ Lan - I agree with you mate, I think the factories hold all the power. In fact they could cut J&A off just as easily as anyone. As to whether its the dealers who purchase the gens for replication, I have to wonder if its not the factories that do it, and not the dealers at all. I asked Josh not long ago to get a picture of his rep next to the gen Skyland he used to replicate it. His response was that "the gen was still in pieces". I'm no watchsmith, but I could put a watch back together in a few hours. Not damning evidence, but given J&As past record of lying, I really don't believe anything they say. Also, I'd like to add that J&As suspension at RWI probably will have little effect on them. In fact, neither of the has posted there for about a half a year. Also, neither of them post much here either. I have a strong feeling that they have a lot more to do with RepGeek than most of us realize, and that they have decided to focus their efforts there, as they can effectively control what is said about them.
  16. Nobody is denying that J&A do a lot of things very well. Good communication, great selection, fast delivery, great customer service, and the list goes on. But, it's the lies that get me. I had a conversation with Andrew during the "white lies thread", and begged him to admit that he lied about representing the DG4813 in the B&R as an ETA 2892. Even after he had been caught red handed, he continued to lie... Here is Trusty's reply in full Regarding the price fixing issue, it has been known for quite some time that J&A have pressured other dealers in this regard. I believe TWP and Ruby were both victims. Its not right, and the boards should have put a stop to this behavior long ago. Also, I'd like to address the issue of "serviced" and "waterproofed" watches from J&A. This has been proven many times over the years to be nothing more than a scam, yet I still see members falling for it all the time. Shame on all boards for allowing that scam to continue.
  17. Hey doc, congrats on a beautiful watch! Can't wait to see a rep of the Blacksteel.
  18. AJS, I think you already know the answer to that You absolutely must have access to a watchsmith, or willingness to learn how to de-case and replace a movement. You also need access to replacement movements (that'd be you ). Beyond movement problems, the only other real issue with these reps is crown stripping, which can be an easy fix or impossible depending on the brand. I can see how this hobby could be frustrating for the "average Joe" though!
  19. I've heard from another member in the same situation, who has been told that there is a;ready a new version and it is inferior to the old version. Thats the way it goes sometimes, and I'm glad I got mine in time!
  20. The thing I don't like about the legend is that it can only be worn on a SS bracelet
  21. I can't see them cloning an out of production movement when the bastardized 7750 serves their purposes. I'd just like to see a semi accurate datewheel.
  22. I would guess the the current Navi is about as good as it will get. I would guess that it is more likely that Breitling will more than likely change the modern Navitimer at some point, and possibly move back to a 6.9,12 configuration, or possibly a 2892 based layout. At that point we'll see a new rep (7750) or maybe not (2892).
  23. Very nice Tak. I love my CA, but have to be in a special mood to wear it. Ti is not my favorite metal, and the CA has a military style to it. The Skyland is nice and heavy, shiny, and can be worn with just about anything. I think there's room in the watchbox for both! Nice pics btw!
