  1. I'm not really big on the holes, but thats just me. The strap really suits the watch though!
  2. I'm gonna say that the "bling" model is real.
  3. The more I study this the more convinced I am that it is a 45mm. If you notice the "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial you will notice that it is sitting exactly where it should be. I know the Silix dial is slightly bigger than the UPO dial, and would need to be shaved down slightly. This obviously isn't an UPO, but it may be a first gen 45, or possibly an asian 45mm. But I am certain it isn't a 42mm.
  4. Sweet looking Bond you got there Tak!
  5. Very odd that the date window would be off as both the 42mm and 45mm POs use the same movement. I had just assumed that the hour markers were just slightly more inboard, accounting for the lack of a gap on the 42mm model.
  6. Nice! What is the clasp like?
  7. I would go for the 42mm black on black Planet Ocean. The Planet Ocean may not be my favorite watch, but it definitely is my favorite watch to wear. Looks just as good with a suit as it does on the beach!
  8. What you failed to point out in your review is that this watch is a great value. Credit to Jay for not gouging us with a huge price tag, for what is obviously a "SuperRep" quality watch. Great review, very much appreciated mate!
  9. Pix, great review, and some of the best photos I've ever seen! Congrats!
  10. As ByTor said, but on a chrono the second hand is at the 9:00 subdial, and will always run. The "traditional" seconds hand should be stopped at 12:00.
  11. Pugwash has one and did a nice review about it here... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...&hl=top+gun
  12. The dial is likely straight, its the positioning of the pearl/insert that usually makes it look a little off. As to the crystal, I have heard some talk that the UPO has been showing up with AR on the outside lately. It seems to be poor quality and easily marked. The other person I read about describe it as looking like a grease spot as well. Pics would help!
  13. Didn't you have any spare links from when you sized the bracelet? If so, just use one of those screws.
  14. Try advancing the tim manually about 48hrs. There may be a slight bit of resistance that can be worked out.
  15. True Pug, that happens a lot!
  16. Generally not. I believe that all parts are made in bulk, so no improvement can be made until those parts have been depleted. You don't really see any improvements until the next generation is released.
  17. yes, that 45 rider tab looks like it is from a different watch, too small and the 5 is different.
  18. In Toronto we have benefited from a week of mild weather. The snow, which has been on the ground since December is finally almost gone . Bring on the golf weather!
  19. Good tutorial, but I would suggest transplanting the sub datewheel into the 2813 as it would eliminate the whole gluing and alignment process. I recently swapped the 4813 in my UPO Lite, and as 4813 is only available with white datewheels, I had my watchmaker swap them for a couple of dollars.
  20. You mean the advice you got yesterday when you posted about the exact same watch was not good enough? Your boy is a scammer, so drop it mate, and stop posting links for him. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=70563
  21. Look dude, this is the second thread you have started about this. The guy is a scammer, and you would be stupid to buy anything from him. So look at our dealers and stop spamming us with ioffer links.
  22. On this watch without seeing a movement pic, there is nothing you can say with certainty. BUT!, if you look at some of the other offerings by this same dealer you will get a better picture. For instance, his $750 swiss Cartier pictured here is definitely not swiss judging by the recessed date window. Forget this guy, he is just ripping people off!
  23. No, not correct. Look at 55 and 60 or 65, they are bang on. Now look a 30, or 8, they are almost a full digit off.
  24. I find it interesting that in Trusty's pics, only the red version has the correct "two tiered" insert.
