Hard to say which one you should take without knowing the basics of your watch, but the CF bezel seems to be the way to go for many members
-
I wanted to fit a new crown on my TC because the crown slips when i try to wind the watch up. Will fitting this new crown stop this slipping?
TC told me to send it back to him for a new crown and tube set but it will take another 2 months to get it back> Thats after I just waited 58 days to get the bloody thing
Yes, a new crown will stop your problem. Problem was caused of a bad batch of TC's crowns. They are fine know.

How did you get the insert in ? trying to get mine in now but i think its a tiny bit big.Do i need to sand it some how?
Yes, that's what Domi did. Unfortunately the bezel is not gen-spec, mate.
-
like it Lartamia gives it that bit extra I think
Thx mate! TC-Dial, -hands, -bracelet, BK-DWO and AR only on the inside of the crystal does the rest
-
This is how it will look like when it's done

Are you suggesting that the entire process of a glue in place to seat the tube is not sufficient or should one use epoxy?
I have paid for tube and stem and will be looking to assemble when they arrive and compelte the above pumpkin (finally!)
Does anyone know if the H4 cannon pinion is a worthy upgrade? Would be nice to get the stack a little higher.
This is my franken with a H3 cp upgrade
In my opinion it's worth...

Thx Ajax
The bracelet of the new GMTc is one of the best I have so far. The feel is very good, the sel's could be better though.
The clasp works smooth and feels very gen-link after a wd40 treatment.
Just have an eye on the gap when you look out for one. Sometimes they are really off...

Thx for the kind words guys, they are appreciate them very much
The new noob is a great watch. All gen parts fit without any problems.

Looks good, but are you sure the dial/bezel are gens? It may just be the pic, but the metal marker surrounds look a bit thick for a gen dial.Assuming the dial/bezel are gens, next, I would be on the lookout for either a gen or CHS ETA movement.
Yes, they are gen, I'm sure you can spot the different in a second when you hold it in your hand. Here's another pic
@movement
I don't mind the ICHS and the gen is much too pricy

Today I got my GMT IIc back from Domi as I'm very happy with it I just want to share some pics with you all
The base was the lastest noob from PT all mods were done by Domi.
The specs:
- gen Dial
- gen Bezel-Assembly
- gen ARed crystal
- gen swiss ETA
- TC Crown/Tube
- BK DWO
- hands relumed
-
Here is a pic, somebody posted on rg - genbezel is installed
I think it's not that bad...
But I think you're right, if you have seen the real thing u will always see the terrible white paint of the numbers, doesn't matter how deep the numbers are
-
I have been looking through the posts there but can't see it confirmed yet..
Yes, it's confirmed on RWI. The new Noob as gen construction. You can even put the bezel on the rep retainer
-
How did you attach the gen dial to the ETA movement? (I'm not sure I want to know the answer.)

Hi geeks
Today I want to show you my newest 16710 Franken I just finished.
The specs:
- BK's 16570 with gen ETA for case and movement
- Gen Glas, der Ref. 16610 (25-295-C)
- Gen Insert (Ref. 315-16760-7)
- 2.35 mm Dichtungsring (Clarks)
- TC Bezel-Assembly der 16610
- GMT Click Spring, z.B. von Clarks
- Gen Krone, (Ref. 24-603-0)
- Gen Tube (Ref. 24-5330)
At the beginning I plant to use the dial of the latest GMT-Master II from the Noob-Factory. But I was lucky to source a gen Dial in very good condition
And now to the pics. Enjoy
And: Yes I know, because of the 'only-Swiss-Dial' the case should have drilled lugholes, but I don't care. As And I love black-holes, too
-
Thanks! It will be a pleasure for me
I also use other gen-parts (x-tal, crown/tube, insert) and a tc-bezel-assembley in a bk-16570-case for that build.
-
Gen Crown has the Ref. 24-603-0 and Tube is Ref. 24-5330
@Dial
I bought this one for 250$, it's like new...
Hope that helps

To me the dial does not look gen. Looks to me like the 12 triangle point is slightly left of crown.
I like the GMT! What dial do you use for this build? Looks like the latest noob, right?
-
I have changed the endlinks with a pair of gens. If you are interested in the rep-endlinks shoot me a pm
-
Ok. to settle this once and forever..the dial is not matte..here is the proof.. Just look at the reflection on the dial! Sure. But 'mate' would be more gen-like than 'glossy' right?
-
Have you looked at the actual Exp II at an AD? The finish of the black dial is identical to that of a Milgauss.
Very interesting! The dial in the video looks mate indeed, but on the fotos still grossy...

What an awesome piece! If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost after the mods?
