An el cheapo Rolex Daytona DLC with a 21j movement has gotten me quite a few compliments. I think it's because people don't think it's a Rolex due to the black coating.

I see it's too late now, but I second the razor blade suggestion. I used a box cutter myself, worked like a champ.
Just be careful :-)

I see andrew has some teak dial at's that I haven't seen before:
http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_66&products_id=8668
still a lot of problems but better than some other teak dial versions around, still a21j and the size must be a miss print...it surely couldn't be 46mm case size?
I have one of those, it's got the newer style striped dial, not the nice sunburst dial of old. The size is correct, it's based on the larger PO case I'd assume. It's a shame they didn't base it off the 42. I like it, but the AR coating seems to somehow make it more reflective if anything. It's a flawed rep to be sure.

I recently picked up my first Daytona rep with a handwind movement, and the ticking noise is really bothering me. I can hear it clearly from 4-6 feet away depending on the ambient noise level.
Is this typical for this movement? Would a service help?

That watch is listed in his value watch section. Don't expect a functioning chronograph ( the hands will either always move or never move ) or an AR coating, etc... There will be obvious differences from the Gen. It might still be a nice watch, but not as nice as the higher end reps.

I cant even get the EMS tracking site to load most of the time. My package seems to have been stuck in customs at LAX for at least 3 days now....
Looking to get a new strap . Need some help

Subs use a 20mm strap. You will need a springbar removal tool, some replacement 20mm springbars wouldn't hurt if they dont come with the new strap.
