  1. I'd suggest investing in a decent set of precision screwdrivers then. It's all you need for this. Even if you have a basic interest in watches it's something you will want or need, now or in the future. A watchmaker can't do much more about this than you can.
  2. I'm sorry, but I wasn't kidding when I said it was very simple. And I mean simple as in a five year old could do it. If you need to visit a watchmaker to adjust a (and specifically this) bracelet then... wow.
  3. I don't see how Noob's would be harder, they're essentially the same. Unscrew tiny screw left or right, pin should fall out. If not, unscrew left and right and push it through. Very simple, much more practical than the old bracelets.
  4. I've had the BP and currently have 3 Noob's. The Noob's can have some issues (markers, pearl glass not always applied well) but if you get a good one then it beats the BP hands down in my opinion.
  5. And why do you assume the error lies with me? My bank doesn't stop payments, the error lies with the payment processor. I've used this same card to purchase with Puretime and other TD's. Or is it news to you that PT has problems with processing payments since the domain change?
  6. I'm not a native english speaker but I think it's fairly clear what my point is. Maybe you should reread everything. If their payment service is not working properly for the moment and refuse paypal from an obviously thrustworthy custumer because of their strict rules then I can't make a purchase. My point is that PT is currently difficult to deal with if you're not a "loyal" customer.
  7. I understand, but Puretime is much stricter than any other TD's. Toro for example allowed me to use paypal after 1 order. Puretime needs 3 orders. I only have one so far with PT. Even when I received another customers watch and forwarded it to the right person, I'm apparently still not trusted enough to be allowed to use paypal.
  8. My credit card payment failed as well. It would be thoughtful of them to allow paypal for the time being.
  9. Hilarious. 5 years here and this is your first post? Puretime is not perfect, especially when it comes to watches being in stock but saying they are not to be trusted is a bridge too far. They are TD's on various boards, I would assume it's not without reason.
  10. Imo if the dealer makes a mistake he should be responsible for the costs of shipping it back. There are a lot of things the dealers are getting away with because of the illegitimate nature of the hobby, but it shouldn't be this way.
  11. I agree. But you can do it with a bit of class or like an asshat. Fakewatchbusta falls into category 2 I'm afraid. Or at least his followers make him look like one with their asinine comments.
  12. Probably not, and you shouldn't. I think most members will agree you should only send a watch back if it's DOA or has other severe mechanical issues.
  13. Are you sure you want a rep then? Imo the Noob PO bracelet is one of the finest around. I'm confident in mine and haven't seen anyone's clasp break yet.
  14. The first one seemed quite good mechanically. +002 s/d is a great number. I think all Noobs have some small issues with the bezel paint. I currently have 3 Noob PO's and there's only one of which I find the bezel of acceptable quality.
  15. The things you read on that guys page... Apparently we're now equal to rapists for owning damn reps. I bet these saints have never downloaded a movie or an mp3. Such wonderful people.
  16. Yeah? Why do I deserve to be on this idiotic instagram thing? Nobody has ever asked me about any of my watches, and I have never claimed my reps were real. I have never taken pictures of me and my reps, the only pictures I take of my reps are posted on the replica boards.Yet my nickname is smeared by screencapping my replies in this thread on this social network for the mentally retared.
  17. You kind of have to. It's the only thing keeping the bracelet together, even when folded in.
  18. You're an ignorant stuck up child. I have gens and am on some gen boards. The people here are equally if not more dedicated to and knowledgeable about watches.
  19. Puretime is a pain in the ass for replacement parts. I inquired about a replacement bezel for my PO and so far no answer. My 42mm has the same deep cut on the diver extension but I'm not sure it's an issue. It seems strong enough and although it appeared it had a mark on it as well, it wiped right off.
  20. Thanks for the link, it's indeed an easy fix in case it does get magnetised. The swiss model is only 10$ more. Think I'll get one of those, don't want my watches to catch fire
  21. That's the first smart thing I've seen Icahn do. Imo if you provide the services of a bank you should be regulated like one.
