  1. Maciek,

You've given a review of the collector, but what is your opinion about the watch? ;)

I have a HBB ceramic on the way, and what iterests me the most is your comparison of the 'feel' of both watches - the HBB and the Cousteau Divers.

Is the IWC as good as the HBB?

  2. Ugliest wristwatch to devote so much time into accurately copying... sorry....

It's probably very accurate, etc... but when the genuine looks like a failed science experiment...

    Yuk

If it were so, the watch obviously wouldn't win the Grand Prix D'Horlogerie de Geneve (Best Design 2005) :victory: For me it is one of the best designs ever.

  3. PS

I tried one of these on in the AD yesterday, and it really is a very nice watch. By comparison, it dwarfed the 2254.50 I was looking at at the same time. However. I would not want to own one for the following reasons:

    1) I prefer the shape of the notch holes in the regular Seamaster strap over the notch holes in the Planet Ocean strap.

    2) I do not like the idea of the double-sided AR coating. The outer coating will rub off and spoil the finish.

    3) Personally, I think the watch is a little too big for my own tastes, I prefer the 42mm

    4) James Bond would never wear a watch with his serial number splashed all over it :D

I'm not a big fan of Special Editions either, however trying to get the Ultimate of the Ultimate PO's, this one will do for me. I like the idea of the rubber strap, superlume and as opposed to you, double-sided AR coating :) I'm waiting for some pics of the prototype...

  4. A great watch you have there.. IMHO this is the best color combination available. I'm also concidering the Ultimate PO, but I'm still not sure whether this is the last "Ultimate" version that will be released.

Maybe you could tell me, how come there are two Ultimate versions with different movements? One with Swiss ETA 2824-2 and the other with ETA-2836, both 45,5mm? Which of these "Ultimates" is more accurate?
