  9. Steph is right no real rule with ends i saw a few gens with 580s also. IMHO 585s would be ideal but not a must in any case. Laz
  10. Ehehe Steph u weasel well u might have a point but i fell in love with the superdome that came on this GW and thought to myself why not build a RED for a change... Now that said Tribal has a DRSD back for me on hold and an MBW DRSD dial all do im not a fan of the red lettering on that one maybe ill just keep the GW dial and back if i decide to switch that down the road ... still if i build what i have pictured in my mind with use of an more vibrant red letter dial i think the switch back will not be needed Man i love this pre-project decisions i swear this is the biggest fun! Laz
  11. OK time for a bump guys here is my latest MBW 1665 GW but due to the Tropic 39 Superdome that came on this watch and me already completed one GW project i decided today with Tribal to build a DRSD from this... here is the curent state: t39 superdome, ubi flat DW, nicely moded insert and some CG work... TO DO's: swap to DRSD case back, gen ends and bars, reworking the case, HEV. valve mod, pearl mod, gen crown/tube, DRSD Dial swap, luming and vintagizing hands and dial. No better feeling then when u know new project is on the way All is in pipe and decided except the dial choice im personally not to keen on the MBW DRSD dials as the red text is to dark for my liking and not printed sharp enough. I'm thinking to go the NDT dial way... ?! Comments and advice welcome. Cheers Laz
  12. Interesting comment Stephane i have the same feeling about the ROO... hope someone will have one to show on the CZ GTG. I'm wearing this one today: regards Laz
  13. Its a nice watch... truth to be told i even considered getting the genuine but things changed when i handled the gen. in Vienna at an AD. Still a gorgeous watch nevertheless a good rep would be a nice alternative. Laz

  17. Well the tritium glow life is been said to be around 10 years + or there about. I know Kelster has a gen tritium sub. maybe he can comment on the luminosity of his dial and hands. I have here a gen tritium dial on a 16800 Frankenstein, this one is for sure older then your dial but i can confirm that mine has absolutely no glow at all. As for super luming a gen tritium dial most of the people would consider it a blasphemy... personally i agree and would not touch it... Hope this helps to some level... regards Laz

  19. To each is own i guess... i personally never opted to put SL on a vintage project... still some people love it go with the flow PS that has to be the strongest lume i have ever seen on a rep watch or for that matter on a gen. (presumably its a stock photo) Laz
