He wants something with a little more bling next time.

If I have to smack my watch against my palm in order to make it tick, then replica or not...I don't really want that watch.

I can hear the rotor spinning but it sounds very rough, almost like a grinding noise. Chrono is dead. Ive manually wound it very carefully 100+ rotations and got nothing, and there isnt even any increasing tension felt in the spring as Im winding it. Nothing has worked and the seconds hand has not moved a millimeter. DOA.
Ive contacted the dealer and received instructions on how to ship it back to China, which I'm sure will be a lot of fun. Oh well, I understand these things are bound to happen eventually. At least the other watch in the shipment (Pam 318) works perfect so it wasn't a total bummer of a day!
Come to think of it, I've never had any luck with automatic movements in my gens either. Maybe I'm cursed and should stick to hand winds.

So were the QC timegrapher pics faked then, or can a watch just up and die that quickly? It was packaged with a 2nd watch and shipped to me, and watch #2 works fine, so I doubt this was a case where the watch was damaged in transit. Just seems strange. I have contacted the TD who sold it to me so we will see if I can get it resolved.

Received it today. Movement is New Asia Valjoux 7750 (28,800bph). Shook it for a few minutes....nothing. Unscrewed the crown, manually wound it about 50 turns...nothing. Shook it again for a few more minutes...nothing.
Am I missing something here? The watch is beautiful and appeared to be functioning fine on the timegrapher QC pic, so I'd hate to have to send it back.
Thanks for any input!

318, arrived today from Trusty, went straight on to the wrist!

It's addictive. Every day while viewing the wrist check thread I find a new watch I like!

I've purchased 5 reps in the last 10 days. What can I say? I like shiny new things.
Breitling Bentley 6.75 Blue with SS bracelet
Pam 318 on leather
Pam 253i on leather
Ebel 1911 BTR black/yellow with SS bracelet
Patek fantasy chronograph with power reserve on black leather
All on their way from Trusty.
I think I need to buy her a pair of shoes or a fancy purse if I wanna keep this up! There are still a bunch of reps I want to add to my burgeoning collection.

I may or may not have smoked some herb on this rainy Saturday evening :-)

$350.00 is not outrageous for a well-made replica when you consider the gen versions of most replicas would cost anywhere from $7500.00 to $15000.00 (or more).
I recommend Josh at Perfect Clones. He delivers excellent customer service and will send you Quality Control pics for you to approve prior to shipment. Same goes for Andrew at Trusty Time. Those are the only two dealers I've purchased from - I am sure the other trusted dealers on here are just as good.

A fine watch with a fine glass of champagne. Good times, gentlemen.

Invicta Reserve Russian Diver's Watch (gen) for today
-
I love that Chopard. I hope to pick one up in the next 6 months...when funds allow!
-
The outer edge of the case/bezel with the dimpled metal seems too thick for the 6.75 and looks uneven and rough. Most rep pics I have seen have a case rim that is only 2 dimples wide and a cleaner edge.
Should I request a different one? These are QC pics from an authorized trusted dealer.

It's gorgeous

Relaxman - is that an 088I?
-
I can't wait for this one. I love the look of this watch and from what I've read it is almost indistinguishable from the gen. I previously ordered my first rep from Joshua but Andrew has great reviews and his price was 20 bucks cheaper.

What is the name of this PP watch and where'd you get it from? It's gorgeous and I want one!
Veblen goods...

Found my gen Invicta Reserve Russian Diver's Watch in my briefcase so I switched to that for the afternoon...
