  1. Hey guys, This is an oldie but a goodie. For the Ingy owners you know what I'm talking about. It is such a quality made rep. There were various dial differences throughout the Ingy years. I have two of them. One already has a Lello dw installed the other has it unmounted. I actually owned a sweet fully modded one back in the day but stupidly sold it thinking Lello and the Ingy would be around forever. Well that didn't happen. One of them has Chief's double AR and the other has K222's double AR. Chief's double AR is absolutely ridiculous. The only difference that I could see in the dials is that the print is bolder on one dial while the other one is more precise & fine. I have a bracelet, genuine IWC kevlar, and a custom leather strap for them. I love them so much I have two. Just in case. Unfortunately the rep factories phased these out once the gen version was phased out of IWC's product line :( Even though these are a couple of years old, they still crush a lot of the new reps that are coming out of the factories. They just ooze quality. 2. Thx mate....yeah the Safari does look very very nice... I dont know if you have owned a safari rep before or seen one that your friend might have perhaps, but it feels pure CLASS and orgasmic as u unwrap it.

Ah... then you proceed to glance at the strap!! thats when the dream is shattered ..lol

I have a HKTAN strap coming in a few days (medium brown colour) that should be icing on the cake. I can see you have been putting some really nice straps on ur ROOs not sure which ones they are?

I actually have a Safari coming in next week with a HKTan strap. Its from a member and had been serviced from Francisco.

Once that comes in I'll post some pics of my 5 APs in one photo shoot :)

The straps that have are....HKTan on Safari, Capalovaro from AP Bands on the Silver Themes, Rubber on Diver, AP Sharkskin on Black Themes.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why you must choose between diver or black themes? Why not keep both? =P

But if i had to choose, and looking at your impressive collection, i'd say 'Diver'.

I'm thinking the same thing. The Diver came in and its impressive. I'll put up my Black themes when I get the time :)

  3. Hi Dylan ..thanks for your reply.. those are some really nice watches good luck with them. ..as you can see I posted that on the 2nd Nov and couldn't wait.. so I bought a safari from Andrew. Keeps very good time until now. I din't know Francisco was back in the game of servicing.. last I heard was he was away... do you know approx how much he charges per service and also is a service absolutely imperative? I have found a local watch smith and he told me not to service the watch yet as it was running fine??

Great choice on the Safari. I have one flying in from Asia as we speak. I also picked up the Diver. Francisco is out of service for now. My APs that got serviced by him was before when he was taking customers. I don't believe the service is imperative. I think if the watch is running well just enjoy it :)

  4. Hey Greek,

My only experience has been with the newer movements with the extra jewel and with Francisco serviced/modded movements. I've had no problems. If you're concerned you could always pick up a Diver.

By the way...I picked up a Diver & a Safari this week. Safari was serviced by Francisco. I'm wearing the Diver right now and trying to decide if I want to let go of my black themes....

  5. I think the screw heads are slightly different between the rep and gen... The rep screw heads are flat, while the gen screw heads have a very slight curvature. So maybe you're both correct.

LOL...I guess we are both right. So the gen is slightly recessed with the curvature being flush with the bezel.

Hmmm...I need to take a different approach to QC pics then. I've been religiously choosing ones with bezel screws slightly sunken :)

  6. No problem buddy! I'm glad I could contribute in some way. I gave a Studio to my girl and kept a pair of studios & detox for myself. The detox sound great, but they begin to crush my head. I think I have a big head :) The studios are lighter, less constrictive, thus more comfortable. However, they will only work with batteries, so I would have extra batteries lying around :)

  7. That should not be possible because the bezel screws do not have effect on the waterproofing. The gasket for the bezel and the case back is between the movement and the holes for the screws.

The only effect it might have is that the screws are loose since you removed the rubber washer. If you tighten the back screws it should be water resistent again.

Thanks Sander! I don't feel so bad. I wonder why then the crystal got all hazy and condensed. It must have been a coincidence and timing.

  8. The bezel screws on reps can drive me crazy as well. Use those "QC pics" from your dealer to reject any APROOs with major gaps between the screw heads and the bezel. Although I have a seen a gen or two with gaps, it's very uncommon.

Totally agree...with the price of these ROOs, you should get what you want..

although I am very sorry that I'm annoying the dealer...I had him send me several different picks before I chose one.... Trying to go for that slightly recessed, good alignment, same height look...Its really tough!!!

This was the best I could do...

  9. Sander- Great stuff. Interestingly, I am finding they are even improving the bezel screw set up. The Chronopassion actually has little rubber washers in the bezel screw holes to keep them better in place. I just wish my gen older Royal Oak did too. The screws on that one are all askew and at different heights - compliments of an AD a number of years ago. The thinner Royal Oaks seem to be a simpler long screw set up so they move all the time.

I noticed on a ROO that I bought from a member that indeed black rubbery stuff was sticking out....It drove me crazy...and a member told me it might mess up some of the waterproofing...but visually I couldn't stand it...so I took a toothpick and just scraped and scraped until it stopped poking out of the bezel screw holes...Then I used one of the high compress air thingees that you use to clean keyboards to blow out any little bits of rubber...that was a stupid idea...because next thing I know...the crystal is hazy because the cold air got in and condensed on the inside of the crystal....some light hair dryer action and sitting it out in the sun fixed it, it seems...

    Bottom line: I'm an idiot

  10. I thought the video was actually pretty good. The narrative was quite entertaining. When you say shipping with the packaging is expensive what are we talking about?

With box: $42 EMS to the US. I believe he can ship regular airmail as well for cheaper but will take 2 weeks....however...it might be safer for customs to go this route...but its a long ways to wait...If you just ship the headphones + accessories the shipping I think is cut in half...

  11. Dave. Thanks for the link. V interested in these. How was the communication from the vendor?

The vendor is phenomenal. His name is Tony. His info is on the website. You can directly chat with him. I paid and he shipped same day. I've noticed some rep watch dealers advertising these for about twice as much as what Tony is asking...Shipping is expensive though if you want the packaging because the boxes are pretty heavy. You can save on shipping if you just take the goods & not the box.
