Explorer Dial Giveaway - See last page for winner!
whoopy12 replied to whoopy12's topic in General Discussion
If anything, by proxy of your post you have a chance of getting one for free -
This is the best comment on this thread because it's 100% true. No point in putting together a list when each version has a different batch of flaws

Omega seamaster 300 vintage bezel insert lost! Help!
whoopy12 replied to marrickvilleboy's topic in The Omega Area
I don't have their emails, but I'd suggest pm'ing Angus on Repgeek and Toro here on RWG Good luck! -
You'd think if that was the case though, he would've steered clear from Maron from the get-go
-
Hey J, If by 'boo-boos' you mean misprints, then, he reuses them! I had to get the dial plates custom made (28mm diameter), so the plates were washed and then resprayed with the base coat + reprinted.

I understand that it's Maron, who's reputation has become more public thanks to Mr. Mayer, but YEZUS this thing is hard to look at My 'favorite' parts include the dial, crown guards, and case back engraving. What do you guys think? http://robertmaron.com/product.php?productid=16262&cat=0&page=4&sold

Hey all, After sending out the 1016 explorer dials to members kind enough to help me with the preorder, I thought I'd raffle one away! The dial has a gen-spec diameter at 28mm, has feet for ETA movements, and all of the fonts/misc details have been hand-traced from genuine examples. The rules are simple, just reply to this thread, and you'll be entered into the raffle by your post order (just your first post will be counted, though feel free to post more if you like!). On Wednesday the 6th, I'll use a random number generator to pick which member the dial will go to Cheers, Whoop

Nothing to worry about mate: it happens. I'm sure the mods will clear it up -
Hey T, They are the same. Though as far as accuracy goes, it is waaaay off from any of the Blancpain models. Unfortunately, your only other rep option is Davidsens, which is also off. Need to make some nice vintage reps eh!

Printing is done!!!! Currently the dials are en route to me. Will be packing each order up once the package arrives

hahaha, good man! mid 1950's to mid 1970's is where it's at!

Thought you were going for the straight lug Y?

It all depends on your budget! Cartel, Spinmaster, DW, Phong, are all options, but each very different in terms of $ invested

Hey all, So as not to leave you hanging, below I've attached pictures of the first printing. I think I forwarded one of these to a member who preordered already, but wanted to share with everyone as promised. The first printing did not pass my QC because of a couple of issues, the largest being the "E" in 'Superlative' (or rather the 'upside down F'). Not sure how this happened, as the source file I supplied them did not have this defect. With that said, pad printing is always the fun part Will be updating you guys once the batch is reprinted! -Whoop

Yup! Thanks for your help mate

Just about to be squared away here. Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions!

Hey all, I'm waiting to hear back from my contact atm. The factory that prints them is pretty small and the printer he knows got back from the chinese month long celebrations later than anticipated unfortunately, which pushed back the print date by a little bit. They SHOULD be printed late this week/early next, so I'm crossing my fingers that this is the case. Apologies for the delay guys!

Hey WF, welcome to the community The first thing I'd suggest doing is reading the following links: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/85981-hey-noobor-not-so-noobread-this-now/ http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/24786-read-our-forum-rules/ We get a lot of new members who ask the same type of question and either get a helping hand or crucified (or a bit of both) as the information you're looking for is not definite, but open for discussion as there have been many many reps produced of the same model over time. That being said, READ READ READ! All of your questions will be answered by using the search function once you read the first two links I've attached above

Hey guys, I'm looking to reinstate my RWI membership but I'm unable to pm a mod to ask for instructions on how to do so because my inbox is over the whopping limit of 3. As I don't want to delete all of my messages, does anyone know a Mod over there that I can contact through email or here on RWG? Any help would be awesome!
