My main point is any of the new models by either h or noob factory is light years ahead of any kind of mistake or poor quality rep

390 I love but is only made by h factory

127/217 are only noob models and the quality is top notch

111 is made by both

Noob is better but back ordered right now so only h is available for a couple of weeks at least

111n from noob many think is the best otb pam

005 I think latest word is h is better than noob

243 I am not sure which is better but it is made by both

Noob is likewise back ordered right now

029 another great rep, only made by noob factory

380 a great brand new rep only made by h factory currently

Any of the Asian 7753 movement watches are excellent too and new

I believe only noob has access to the 7753 movement so there is no new h factory version of these watches

188, 187 are 2 examples but I think there are a couple more

As long as it is a year or less old, and from either noob or h factory it will be an excellent rep

Biggest mistake you can make is buying a watch you don't love the look of but are buying because it is more accurate

The above mentioned models are all excellent, look up the pictures of these and go with the 1 or 2 you like best

Any TD should be able to get the above mentioned watches

On another note: I-am-too-rich-to-work-fingernail and a rep Panerai. Hehe.

Almost every rep you receive will have it's own manufacturing related issues, some immediately obvious as in your case, others manifest later... welcome to the world of reps

I more concern on those " Visible " defect , as that the first sign that give a way it a REP and it a low quality Rep to say ..

Agreed that Rep is not at par with Gen , as the price u paid for is only 10 % of real value, so what do i expect in quality ..but one eye see, can tell tat yr unit is REP tat is really a turn off

Did you have a model in mind?

Some models noob is better, others h is better

Both are top quality so don't stress the details too much or you will drive yourself crazy and obsess over things that shouldn't be an issue

Good to know it a common issue with rep ... good news is Andrew frm trusty kind enough to send me with a replacement FOC .... How cool is that for a vendor

Should be easy enough to unscrew the 2 CG screws and remove the CG for a closer look

I manage to take a closeup pic of the CG and where the defect is . it the area where i circle with marking .. is this a common defect in a Rep or it my with the problem

I notice on my unit where the CG is held in place by 2 screws . One of the screw hole it had a major sratches on the surface which I think cause while the factory try to drill hole .... Is this common on all REP on it only happen on the factory come from ???? Or it my unit tat hv this problem ?

I was looking at the Asian Unitas movement myself

I notice it has the higher 21000 vpm vs 18000 VPN from the Swiss movement.

Does that mean the Asian Unitas is close to the GEN movement???

The current Asian 21K's are pretty good, there is really no reason to spend extra money for the Swiss version. The markup on the Swiss version is way too high as well.

You'd be better off putting the money you save towards servicing the movement and an awesome custom strap.

Yes, it's closer to the gen movement than the "swiss" version - but that's not the main reason to go Asian. The ( huge) price difference would be it.
