Excellent spotting that. You are right, I had a feeling it wasn't gen, the overall quality of it didnt seem right. I now also noticed that the O and A in Automatic is slightly shifted to the right (the whole word is).

Can anyone help me to identify if the above dial is genuine?
thanks,
AP

here are three more attached pictures. I hope this helps in telling if its gen. I'm trying to compare it to this thread here (but finding it difficult):

17 hours ago, ILoveWatches! said:heres a gen, your pic looks like the numbers on the dial are a little skinner and the second track doesnt look as bright white and thick, and the 10 looks completely different from your pic compared to the gen pic I have. Lets see the back and the side angle of the dial. I could be wrong but im thnking its a rep dial. Hpepfully im wrong.
Thanks. Yes, i agree the 10 looks quite thicker in your picture, but i wonder if your picture is of the 5007 dial rather than the 5001 (mine). I've attached more pictures in my post above, i hope these help in deciding if its gen.

It's difficult to tell at this angle. If you could show a picture at an oblique angle (to see how reflective the subdials are) and a picture of the back (gen dial feet are in different position than rep dial) then I could give you a more definitive answer.

Thanks for your input. Rep clasps have become so good, especially for IWC. Rough edges is a good way to tell if it's a rep, but unfortunately, you have to buy it first in order to feel it.

Fantastic, thanks for the pictures.

Any help guys?
cheers

Hello guys,
Been a while since I've come on here! Was wondering if anyone could tell me if this IWC clasp (I have attached images) is genuine. Some have an oval logo in between Swiss made and acier inox writing and some don't, is this just based on the year it was made?
Anyway if this looks legit to you or rep, let me know your thoughts.
cheers,
AP

That looks nice, is this the one that was going to be released with the correct thickness?

I wear mine with my suit every day. I will post a picture on Monday. I think it looks alright. Would prefer it on leather though

That looks like a million dollars. How is the finishing of the gold? I might get this, but am waiting for Angus to release a 15400 in December or so (that he's been talking about since July).

Nice review, it looks great too. Hmm I've always wanted one of these but it's too hard to pull off as a genl since the gens cost so much.
-
Congrats. Looks great

There is a video on perfect clones. At the moment pc and trustytime has them and from what I've read the watch is made by bp factory.
-
Omg! I am so excited to see this. Qc pics would be better to see how good it is. I will most definitely be getting one.
-
Ok, will do. Enjoy your watch!

Looks nice. BTW which version is the most accurate gmt in stainless steel (I would use the search function to read around but it's not working). There are so many of them.

I've got the royal oak and it is a great rep. However, I think the nautilus is made much better and looks more accurate from the pics I've seen. The nautilus is the next rep for me

Hi paulvillo,
Those are H factory 292's. I think the N factory makes a better 292:

It's a 50:50 split on N and H on this one... They each have their flaws. Do a little research around here.

Sure I read somewhere someone done it with the tip of a screwdriver that had been heated up.
That was me. Try it, but I ended up getting a gen XS strap

Lol that's a funny sale on the bay. He is playing games saying that he doesn't know if its real or not, he knows the movement is Asian! What 10k+ watch has a cheap Asian movement!

BTW did Joshua ever stock the 3 or 3.5? I don't think he has. Because long time back when I wanted to buy the 3, he gave me some exuse that it wasn't a good version and h factory was releasing one very soon... Basically he didn't have the contact/relationship with the warehouse that made the 3 back then

I'd say it's gen. rep ones have a more silvery finish to the sub dial and it looks quite different to the colour of the outer dial.
