  1. Wow, that would be amazing, thank you. When I get home later I will PM you some photos of the watch and give you specs. Thanks
  2. Hi all A few months back I dropped my IWC Top Gun Miramar (link: http://www.idoloutlet.biz/iwc-pilot-top-gun-miramar-automatic-pvd-case-with-p212938.html) and the glass shattered. The watch otherwise isn't broken. I emailed WatchEden for a replacement with no luck. Before I throw the watch away, does anyone here know where these can be sourced? Obviously happy to pay for the glass. Thanks Matt
  3. Hi all I bought a submariner one month ago from Andrew at TT. The QC pics were great and Andrew's service was impeccable. I've only now just noticed that there is a smudge on the inside of the glass which did not show up in any of the QC pics, but is pretty visible. Any advice as to what I should do in this situation? I don't have tools to fix this myself and I thought I would float the situation here before going to Andrew. I decided to post here instead of TT's forum, but let me know if I should just post it there. Thanks Matt
  4. Wow your guide is incredible! Thank you kind sir!
  5. http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_55&products_id=9376 I'm liking this one so far..
  6. Hi all Any suggestions for the best rep of this watch for under $300? Thanks Matt
  7. Is the toros one cosmetically better too?
  8. Hi guys Looking to purchase a decent rolex submariner. Can anyone recommend a decent replica from any TDs. I've had a look through most, and they appear to be fairly consistent but I'm not sure about some of the details. I haven't inspected a gen, so wondering if anyone can tell me if the rolisor clasp has the "rolex" symbol etched or printed in black? I'm seeing a combination and not sure which one is most like the gen. I'm thinking about this link, and would appreciate any critique you could give me in comparing this with the gen (and even the quality of the movement): http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7&products_id=7991 Thanks Matthew
  9. Hi I have a rep Deepsea that needs the rotating bezel to be tightened. It may also need some repairs also as it is no longer unidirectional. Are there any watchsmiths in Melbourne, Australia, or anywhere else in Australia that accepts watches by mail to do this work? Thanks Feel free to private message me Matt
  10. Hi all I recently bought a replica Rolex Deepsea from a non-trusted seller, but someone who I have had good experiences with in the past. I'm having issues with the rotating bezel. When I first received it, the rotating bezel was perfect. It sounded crisp and was unidirectional. I noticed that yesterday the rotating sound is slightly hollow and it has loosened to the point where it can rotate both ways. When it turns anticlockwise it makes a hollow clicking sound, and when it turns clockwise it makes no sound at all. This is solved when I rotate the bezel while pushing down on it. So it's obviously raised slightly and is a bit loose. I understand you won't have the benefit of actually seeing it but from everyone's knowledge of this watch, is this something that can be fixed? or more likely to be damage that will require replacement of the entire watch? Thanks p.s. let me know if you require the link to the exact watch (which has very detailed pictures)
  11. Hi all I am interested in buying the watch below from a shop. It is this exact model. The description reads: RX160 Midsize Rolex Oyster Perpetual in stainless-steel. Ref. 67480. A-Serial [c.1998-99]. Automatic movement. Blue dial with Rolex logo at 12 o'clock, luminous baton hour markers and arabic numerals at 3, 6 & 9 o'clock positions. Stainless-steel Oyster (30mm) case with screw-back and screwed winding-crown. Sapphire crystal glass. The watch is fitted with the original tapered Oyster bracelet and folding clasp in Stainless-steel. The watch is in very good condition, showing some light marks from occasional use (visible on close inspection). http://www.watchtime.com.au/images/RX160.jpg http://www.watchtime.com.au/images/RX160-back.JPG The asking price is $3,390.00 (Australian dollars). I guess what I want to know is, what should I be looking out for when I go to inspect this watch? and is this price reasonable for its make/model/year? Thanks in advance
  12. Thanks JKay. First question was missing a sentence. Is there a list of trusted dealers that I can be linked to? The link the sticky doesn't work. As for technicians, is there a list of trusted technicians who could service a Rolex Daytona? I think the winding mechanism is defective. After 2 or 3 hours, it either pauses until I shake it, or it loses time. I'm not sure if this is something that can be fixed, or whether I should just depart with me $120 and buy a new Daytona. In relation to Swiss ETA v A21j v China ETA. Ideally, I want the watch to look authentic on the outside and be reliable enough to keep time. It doesn't bother me too much that someone will instantly know it's not genuine after opening it. But if the Chinese movements are known for having issues and breaking frequently, then I would be happy to spend a bit more for peace of mind.
  13. Hi all I am relatively new to the forum. I've read the stickys, but some of the links are broken. I have made an attempt to utilising the forum search tool, but I'm not too savvy so hopefully someone will be able to assist! I thought rather than flooding the forum with different new threads, I'd consolidate them into one post (hopefully that's not inappropriate)! Here goes! 1. I have searched in the forums and have found a few mentioned in passing, but was just wondering if someone had made a list that was freely available. The stickys in the introductory thread don't appear to work anymore and it'd be good to exhaust all options before buying! 2. I've been browsing the Silix Prime website and noticed that they have an economy and first class layout. The watches seem to be very comparable except for the movement and the prices are almost half in the economy. I understand this would differ between the types of automatic movement, so I don't expect a concrete answer but, just generally, am I wasting money by purchasing an Asian movement watch (e.g. Asian 2IJ) and should I just invest that little bit extra for the ETA movement? 3. Is it taboo to have a replica watch serviced? If not, does anyone know anyone online who can service a rep rolex? Thanks in advance and thanks for all the information on this website. You've definitely all saved me a lot of time and money from your incredible source of knowledge!
