  1. UPO is arguably the best rep out of the box for omegas right now. The new SMP from what I read has some flaws compared to the "closed" factory rep. It depends on your own personal taste. I wanted to get the bond SMP at first because it is "sexier" IMO. After hearing about the irregularities with the SMP gen though, i decied to go with an UPO. You'll be satisfied with either choices and it depends on "style" vs "how gen" you want your watch to be. If you can find a SMP from a member here with the near perfect clone from a few years back, i would say that's the best choice. I don't like the chrono. I rather you get the SMP chrono which is also a great vanilla rep. http://www.1-pc8838.com/000omse00111-300m-2008-chrono-blue-a7750-updated-p-9106.html
  2. Domi apparently does the gear and screw mod but if you're talking about the cote d'geneva that's a totally different story. Would be worth it to do the mod.
  3. Check the trusted dealer review section. Josh, Andrew are highly raved on these forums but they tend to be a bit more pricey. I just ordered from Trevor and he seems to have a good record as well. Most of the TD get their watches from the same sources so I would say there shouldn't be a huge difference in their quality if they do proper QC.
  4. Which Hublot is this one?
  5. Hey guys, a few friends of mien are calling out that the replica top gun 3789 strap looks "cheap". Anyone got any suggestions to add some class to the strap? http://img251.images...717andtg010.jpg http://www.rwg.cc/topic/113147-iwc-v2-top-gun/page__p__801805__hl__3789__fromsearch__1#entry801805 the chronissimo from mickey looks pretty slick.
  6. Would the AP RBII be too much? I find the IWC a bit too simple.
  7. Hey all, First time posting here but been lurking for a while. I'm planning on buying my first rep and need some fashion advice. I've narrowed it down to 3 watches that seem to fit my bill. RBII:http://www.yourtrust...sort=20a&page=2 *Classy, sleek, makes you want to stare, $$$ HBB tourbillon skeleton: http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=8249 *wow factor, cool looking, tourbillon, $$$$$, rubber band (which I don't really like) IWC Pilot:http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=3420 *most conservative, $$ (least damage to my wallet) I don't think it's possible to go wrong with either of these but I can only get one unfortunately. Thoughts and opinions? I'm also a graduate student that just got into this hobby to put things into context. Maybe I shouldn't a watch that's nicer than my boss? The style of these watches are just amazing though.
