  1. Alligoat, your a champion, thank you for that! Based on this, because it must be a 2671 movement, SSTEEL from this board (he's in Findland) can service it, so am going to start there. It's good to know I can also source a second hand movement on Ebay if that goes bad. Again thanks for your time here!
  2. Thanks for this! I have just now found the Trusty Time invoice and it says 2671 on it, so your probably entirely right! What confuses me is the BPM is definitely 21600, whereas I thought 2671's were all 28800. So question for you or others - obviously the movement is a copy, is this just a crappy lower BPM 2671 copy? Thanks again.
  3. Hi folks, this movement is in a Cartier Santos (mid size) that was purchased a year ago from Trusty. Timeographer shows its 21600BPM. Rotor width is about 18mm. The movement needs a service so I need to identify it! Thanks for your help.
  4. I recommend you follow this guide on RWI, worked like a charm for me after I used his guide to modify one of the pins as a 'pusher'. Push in the direction of the arrow to get them out. Note the bit about the pin tube, don't want to lose that as I almost did. http://www.replica-w...zing-16010.html
  5. Thanks mate, worked out well in the end, you can see the result here: http://www.rwg.cc/to...ing-gen-vs-rep/ I still wasn't able to get the bezel off so did the mod with the bezel attached and the crystal out, to be honest that worked really well!
  6. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone. Have just finished adding a gen insert to my 45mm PO. Gen insert on the left, rep is on the right. A pretty huge difference in shade! Thanks to The_Rymeister, whose tutorial I followed to make this possible.
  7. As a frame of reference I have 2 POs here with that movement ; both have 41+ h power reserves (never tried to manually wind them however) so definitely looks like an issue as above!
  8. Guys, I'm about to attempt this shortly and have the watch stripped down but cannot get the bezel off. Since the crystal etc is now out do I really need to keep fighting with the Bezel or can I just follow The_Rymeister's steps except with the bezel attached to the watch? Assume a little bit of heat and the insert will come off cleanly. Thanks.
  9. Nevermind, obviously the one with the AR and Saphire is $181 as posted above, just wasn't obvious on first look.
  10. Can someone please help me find this on the Ofrei site? This here looks like Crystal for the right case number [45mm PO] but is $36.00 so obviously not right! http://www.ofrei.com/page_168.html#13466
  11. Alright, buckle ordered from Narikaa and strap from timepeice republic. More will follow no doubt. Thanks guys. Last question so I can have all the bits when my rep arrives - what spring bars do I need to buy to attach the strap to the watch and rep deployment buckle to the strap? Assume one spring bar at the buckle end and two at the watch body end? What 'type' of spring bar do I need? j3t - love it, that looks class
  12. Brilliant, I thought it required a different strap! And I will email Narikaa, cheers
  13. Awesome, thanks for the advice cougar1 / sgtguk / HartDoc - this is why I love reading this forum! So I will buy the rep on the braclet and get the strap later. My last question is that I really love the omega deployment 'clasp' [is that the right name for this thing?]: Understanding that if I want a strap to work with this it lowers my strap options but where can I get a rep of this? If I were just to buy an aftermarket strap and not the above clasp, is this not a 'tell' of some type - or do gen owners do it frequently too? Thanks again.
  14. Hi folks - does any of the forums recommended rep dealers sell the PO 42mm with the black strap/deployment buckle/orange stitching? I've looked and can't find one... unless I go for the 45mm of course - and I'm worried my wrist is too small for that. Also last question - if I buy either the 42 or the 45mm with the leather strap, can I purchase the rep bracelet in either size later if I decide I want to go for that 'look'? I've looked around the various recommended sites I read about on this forum and can't find any dealers that will just sell me the rep bracelet separately! Thanks for your help! In relation to my first question, here's the combo I'm asking about in the 42mm size:
