I just bought a TC V4 Sub...Im wondering if its worth it to invest in a Gen 16610 dial....Im noticing very, very slight differences in the font of the TC vs Gen... What is the avg going rate for a gen dial, and how difficult is it to change? About how much would a modder charge to change it for me? Regards

Thanks. I'm probably going to send it back or sell it. I was going to ” be different”, and put it on a tc 16610, but I think its going to look dumb. I'll just spring for a gen 16800 insert

The one pictured is not mine, although extremely beautiful!! Mine should be here next week...Cant wait !! ; ) Ordered from TC, who is extremely great to deal with by the way! The only reason I questioned the Dial, is from what I remember on my v series Gen 16610 (which I sold : ( the flat top a was really flat the a almost had a boxy look to it.....Then again Im no expert on Rolex, for all I know this is right.. I know allot of the gaudy diamond dials are aftermarket and have all sorts of fonts

Its definitely a beautiful example..Mine should be here next week...My only question is, if they go through all the trouble to be as accurate as this, why stop at the "A" in SUBMARINER on the dial?...Dont Gen SUBS have a flat top A? Where can I source a better dial? Frustrating

Would be a shame to ruin a gen insert for its pearl. I'll probably end up selling it, and purchase a gen plain black insert when the time comes.. The seller actually was nice enough to give me a near perfect tt black/gold gen insert, for the same price instead.. I think it will look good, although not stock rolex 16610

I just found this one from the same seller, and he is willing to give this to me instead. I think Black and Gold would look better, with the Black Dial, and all Stainless of the 16610. Unless I'm just nuts, and should just buy a darn Black Clark...!! Arrgh!! Its not letting post a photo!

Hi All, I just bough a new TC V4 Sub, that comes without an insert installed. It should be shipped to me in a week or so....Anyhow, I was looking for a new Gen Black Insert, but couldnt find one for a decent price, so I just had a bit of a knee jerk, compulsive episode on ebay, and bought this Used Gen Blue TT insert...I know Rolex doesnt use that combo on a 16610, but hey, it's a rep, so I figure I'll have some fun until I fing my Gen Black insert..I dont even know if this TT insert will look ok..Anyhow, I'm posting pictures, because it has some scratches...I made an offer of about $ 20 less that what he wanted, and got it for $75...Did I screw up? Or is this price about right? And although the scrathes look bad in the photos, I'm thinking in real life, there actually quite small..can always ask the seller to let me back out of the deal.. Mods...I just realized, when I wrote the Thread title, I misspelled Sub as "Sun"...Not a big deal, but if it can be corrected, that would be great!

How hard is it to change the clasp?

Do all the TC Subs come with the Clasp that has SWISSMADE stamped on the clasp, as opposed to the correct SWISS MADE with the space? Or has that been corrected? Anyone know?

Hi All, I'm about to purchase the TC V4 Sub, without bezel insert, and also order a GEN Bezel insert...My question is, as I've never purchased a Rep before, and with a new Gen insert, the price total will be around $700....How easy is it to re-sell a Rep like this, in the event, I'm not completely happy with it? I'm just a little apprehensive to dump $700 unless I know there is some sort of reasonable resale mkt for it..... Otherwise, the watch does look pretty darn amazing in the photos! I owned a Gen V series Sub in the past, and until I handle the TC, I wont know for sure, but the photos, look pretty spot on.. Regards B

Im sorry, I'm still learning the abbreviations here...What company is WO? Id like the best most accurate option for a reasonable price..Preferably under $100, and obviously the Clark at $14 would be great, unless you guys think its not accurate..Ive been looking for GEN, but at that price, all Ive been finding are scratched, vintage looking ones.. Hi All, Very new to this.. I'm about to buy the TC V4 SUB...Without rehaut engraving, and no LEC........My question..The Bezel Inserts he has on hand are subpar, according to him, and a Gen insert, is more than I can afford right now. So I narrowed it down to a Clark Bezel Insert $14 w/ an Ofrei Pearl $24 . Or a PMWC Insert $65 w an Ofrei Pearl $24... Which would you go with? Yes, I did try searching, and couldnt find it...I remember seeing it before, but cant seem to find it now, so I can bookmark it... The biggest thing that jumped out to me is where the hands are "pinned" in the center...One is solid, the other has a hollow hole in the center..

Im trying to find a Plain Old Version(non Ceramic) Black SS Submariner Rep....Without engraving on Rehaut, and no etched Crown on glass.....Any idea who has these? They all seem to have that Etching....... Thanks Again.. Also how are the Datejust Reps?
