  1. All that work is beyond me, at this point in time...I'm hoping to just be able to find a dealer, who has great DJ reps, or can make me one.... Regards B
  2. PM Sent......You should post pics..
  3. Im fairly new to the rep game.... I already went the TC route for a V4 Sub, and I cant recommend it highly enough! Obviously, enough praises sung here about the TC, but Ill say it also... Very, very close to a Gen 16610 that I owned..I foolishly sold the TC last week to fund a GEN 14060 , and the seller backed out, so Im ordering another TC, and also looking to get into a nice Datejust....... What would be the equivalent of TC & BK Subs in the Datejust Game? or are there even any that good? Id prefer not to get into the Gold plating, as that can wear off, and look cheap eventually...Mainly, Id like a great Rep, with an ETA movt.......My TC sub was consistently running at -1 to -2 seconds per day!!! Amazing... Anyhow, any recommendations on a Datejust with jubilee would be great! Thanks B
  4. Wow! That didnt take long!! The crown looks great! If they werent so expensive, a GEN Bezel would be right on par.. FYI, the seller on my GEN 14060 backed out !! I knew it was too good a deal to happen...$3000 flat! for a D series. I may be calling TC for another! How's she keeping time? That watch was consistently about 1-2 seconds slow for me per day! At lease during break in...Lume for days!
  5. Why are people quoting TC Subs for $700? They are listed for $510 without insert.. A bit more with shaved engravings.. That said, they are worth it! Mine kept -1 to 2 seconds a day. The best of.cosc standards!
  6. Well Well, Ive been using the TT insert. Doesnt look too bad...I found a place locally, that has literally 100's of Used Gen inserts in beautiful shape, but none of the lume pearls work...
  7. Get in line!! Were all searching....All I know is at Rolex, my buddy got his GMT serviced last week, and the GMT insert was a whopping $58...How much more could a Sub insert be? $75? $85? $95? I was offered a new one for $140 in the beginning of June, then I tried to purchase it a week later, and was told, that due to the Rolex price increase that happened on June 7th, it was now $190...35% increase in list prices?...That cant be...I always thought it was anywhere fro 6-12%...But then again, I hear people saying that if I pay more than $140, Im getting ripped off, yet I dont see them anywhere for less than $190 and up......
  8. Ok everyone.. This is seriously incredible!!! 4 Days and this TC Sub with ETA Movement has only lost barely 1.. I repeat ONE Second!! Ive never experienced anything like it, with any automatic watch....COSC or not!! There are some things Id like tweaked on the watch, such as the way the end links fit (a bit crooked), and the Bezel doesn't turn smoothly, It will turn for about 20 to 30 clicks, very smoothly, and then it seems to get stuck, or very hard to turn. I actually had to take the watch off of my wrist to turn it, so I wouldn't twist the whole watch case with it....I'm sure its a simple fix, Im just not going to play with it, as Im inexperienced....I'll just wait for TC to get back. I'm just hoping these are simple fixes, as I definitely wouldn't want a different watch altogether, as this one is keeping time so darn accurately.........Aesthetically, this watch is simply AMAZING, being a Rep...
  9. I wear subs with nato straps from time to time, and its pretty obvious that engraving has been sanded off.. If I only used the bracelet, I wouldn't care.. Hell, I'm wearing it with a black/gold two tone insert that doesn't come with a 16610, so I'm not that anal. I would get aanother tc case, but then id have to sand the rehaut, and assemble the.watch, which is more work than I care to do..I wouldn't even know how.
  10. I just spoke with phong. He charges $300 to remove the old engraving, and replace it with new engraving. Being that my case is blank, he's charging $200 for the engraving. It seems he's the only game in town, and apparently has a great reputation, so I'll give it a shot..
  11. I understand why he does it, but its not as though Im going to try to sell the watch as a GEN....How many people are actually going to notice whether or not the Serial # begins with V 0r F or J, Z etc....No serial number at all, is allot more noticeable IMO......
  12. Thank you! Forgive my questions as Im a noob.. Phong is a trustworthy service provider? It may sound stupid, to be protective of a Rep watch, but this watch is amazing me with its movement's accuracy...+ 1 second in over 3 days since I set it.. Id hate to disturb that....Ive never had even Gen COSC watches this accurate! Do you have his contact info? Thanks Again! Regards B
  13. Ive already posted about my new TC V4 with no engraving...Its my first rep, and having once owned a Gen 16610, it is extremely close....The accuracy of the eta movement in this watch is ridiculous!! Ive only gained 1 second in the 3 days since I set it! If it wasnt for this Id probably sell the watch, but Im in love with its COSC accuracy so far..The only reason Id sell it is I ordered the non engraved rehaut version, and didnt realize the engravings between the Lugs were sanded off as well... I wear my subs with a NATO strap alot, and the space between Lugs is very visible, and its Obvious that there is no engraving, which screams FAKE, otherwise this watch with a GEN insert is incredible!.....I guess I can just always wear it with the bracelet...Question: is there anyway to re-engrave the case, or is it a done deal? And , although Im almost certain the answer is no, did Rolex ever make a 16610 case without engraving between the lugs? Thanks again
  14. Thanks! I'm getting used to it already...No big deal..Thanks...I do wish he didnt shave the serial numbers off the space between the Lugs though..I like wearing it on a NATO, and its obvious that its filed down there because of the finish...I thought they only removed the #'s from rehaut..
  15. Hi Woof.. Well , you see the photos above of my SEL fit...Its very slightly off....Im very new at Rep's so please tell me if Im expecting too much, or should the SEL fit more evenly.. Thanks Again, Regards B
  16. If this keeps up, youre gonna have to pry this watch from my cold, dead hands if you want it....Its now a full 2 days, going into my 3rd, with the TC, and, while I know we are looking for accuracy in terms of how it looks compared to a Gen, this watch is now running at an amazing +1 Second in 49 hours !!!!!!....SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER BABY!!! Ive never ever had a watch this accurate...I just hope and pray, it doesnt slow a few seconds after it breaks in....For a watch this accurate in time keeping, I guess Ill deal with the end links being a little off....Who knows maybe TC will guide me as to how to straighten them out, but I refuse to give this watch up!! Even for a Gen, and I mean that...!! Im an accuracy nut, always setting all of my watches against an Atomic Clock, and when thas not convenient, I use my phone...
  17. Our Thanks for your advice everyone.. I definitely will hold off for a decent fair deal on a gen insert. As for the end links, theyre in there pretty secure.. Its not that bad I guess, considering its not a Gen Rolex..being new at the rep game, I just don't know how exact, and precise fit and finish is supposed to new on rep's. I'm assuming for $500 + the fit should be pretty good and even.. Everything else on this watch is just so damn gorgeous.. And still over 36 hours since I set it, and its barely one second fast!! Running cosc tolerances..!
  18. Here are some photos.. The end link fit into the top lugs is uneven. The left side is about a mm recessed, and the right side sticks up slightly. On the bottom lugs, in the last photo, the end links fit flush..I can't get in touch with tc, because apparently his email auto responds that he's in china.. I hope its an easy fix.. I've had the watch about 30 hours, and I kid you not, it hasn't lost or gained one second.. Lets see how it breaks in, but none of my watches have been this accurate.. Gen omega cosc Seamasters, and my Gen V series sub never performed like this. It was consistently 5 seconds fast..
  19. I don't know if I'm being nitpicky, and expecting too much, or if I installed it wrong, bit the end links don't fit flush and.evenly with the top/face side of the lugs. Is it possible the lug holes aren't even? I also noticed the lugholes are drilled very.shallow.... It is in every other.aspect a very beautiful watch
  20. Ok. I thought it was a guide, to show.which side to use. Even better, that they mean nothing important. What is a TRL on the caseback sticker? Sorry for dumb questions, I'm obviously new at this
  21. Again, does anyone know what the red arrows on the plastic covering on the bracelet means., Which way are they supposed to point? Does it matter which side you attach to the lugs?
  22. Do you know what the red arrows meant on the new bracelet plastic covering. Were they meant to face in or out towards the crown? Thank you very much file the photo and help woof.. Regards
  23. Hi, In my excitement to wear my new tc sub, I assembled the bracelet, as out comes in 3 pieces.. Two sides of links, and the deployment clasp with divers extension.. Anyhow I removed 1 link from each side to make it smaller for my wrist, and I realize now I removed the link with the little round circle on it, that you press to release the diver extension.. Its a different looking link as it doesn't have the t shape its just a rectangle.. Now for the life of me I can't figure out how to put it back. Any help would be appreciated. I know its supposed to be the last link before the link that had the notch in it that locks onto the bar to keep the diver extension in place. Heres a photo of the link. pardon the horrible pic. Also , I may have did it wrong altogether, but the bracelet came with arrows pointing out on the stickers.. I faced the arrows toward the crown side of the watch when deciding which set of links went on the top of the watch, and which set went on bottom..I wish he wouldve included instructions..
  24. Well it finally arrived. I haven't been able to find a good deal on a gen blk/slvr insert,so I'm using a gen tt blk gold insert for now... The dial on this watch is stunning.. damn near indestinguishable from my gen vseries, unless I use a loupe..the bracelet came in pieces, and I just tried to figure it out the best I could. I unscrewed 1 link from each side, before attaching the clasp..Also, I asked for Rehaut engraving to be removed, but he removed the engravings between the lugs as well. No big deal, but I guess on a Nato strap it will be easy to see no engraving..Ah its a rep after all, so no biggie. But it sure is damn close...the bracelet is just slight not as "tight" as my gen, with what seems like more space between links. It could just seem that way to.my eyes...all in alll I'm happy...now if I could just find a New gen blk/slvr insert For a decednt price! Oh yeah, and it hasn't gained or lost 1 second in the 18 hours I'm wearing it! Pretty impressive! Forgive the bad shots. Ill take better ones later. Thesed are from my phone in an unlit room.
  25. Here's mine. Couldn't find a good Black/SILVER gen insert, so. I put a gen TT Blk/Gold insert for now, that I sourced real cheap. I'm looking for a new gen blk insert...here are my pics.. I'm agreeing, now that I'm wearing the watch. The dial is great. I may just buy a nato and wear that instead of the bracelet, however..
