  1. For some time I've had my eye on the Safari and think I'm about to move on one. I noticed pure-time released a new line of Noob Royal Oak's on bracelets last week. This is a great addition because I think very few people do anything with the fake croc straps except throw them in a box and leave them there. Can anyone chime in if this is a new version of the 42mm Noob or if it is just a re-release on steel.

I've done my due diligence and think i'm going to go with the Noob over the JF and pic up an APBands strap. I've tried the gen on a few times and have noticed differences and imperfections between gens which is strange but seems somewhat common among AP watches. This should make for a nice little fanken project. If this is different than the older Noob, does the forum have an opinion???

Thanks, here are the pictures from puretime.

PS: Can anyone chime in if this is the current bracelet dealers are selling that will fit the new AP Divers? I have a version 6.1

  2. I really like the white dial PAMs. Not a huge fan of the Daylight because of the complex movement and bezel. The 49 is to small and don't particularly care for the date wheel and cyclops. So that pretty much leaves the 113 and 114 and as of now it seems that the 114 is the better rep.

I also tried the 114 on at the boutique and it was absolutely stunning. I really like the idea of the white dial with the OEM antique brown croc with white stitching.

  3. I agree with powermax to a point. Some people on here have an insane eye! They catch things that i could look at the watch 100 times and couldnt see. I am going to get it relumed to have it nice and white, out either an OEM strap if i can find a discount one or a TWB croc and maybe AR if it needs it. Other than that we will see how the CG looks. I appreciate your input guys!

  4. I just received my QC pics from DSN. This is the new PAM 114 he received in January. I love this watch but i know historically the white faced PAM's have been pretty poor in quality, no where near some of the new Noob versions. If any of you have any expertise on the matter, please let me know what you think of the pictures. Supposedly the specs on this watch are:

    44mm steel case
    sapphir with ar
asian swan neck 6497 plat movt
    superluemd dial and hands

    -Thanks

  5. Thank you all for your input this has been a huge help. So you sounds like the best solution (for the time being until i decide to go gen bracelet) would be to get the WSO 580 end links. Now, because the TC SD spring bars were to fat to fit through my 503B end links, will they fit through the 580 end links? If so, then i will just us the WSO 91350 bracelet, TC SD clasp and spring bars with the WSO 580 end links and call it a day.

  7. Friends,

I am fairly new to this so please bear with me. I recently picked up a semi franken 1665 with gen bezel, crown, crystal (plexi dome), date wheel and and nice relumed patina. It came with an old school MBW case. I have always been a fan of vintage rolex and love this rep.

My question here is the watch came with 503 B end links and a decent rep bracelet. The end links were not a very tight fit and the spring bars are very poor. One spring bar has very little to no spring in it so the watch is basically unwearable.

My first move was to order the SD bracelet from TC. Total rookie move because it does not have the removable end links and does not fit right on the vintage SD. Now it wasnt a total loss becuase the clasp on the TC bracelet turned out to be much nicer than mine so i exchanged that on my original bracelet.

My second move was to order the 93150 bracelet from wholesaleoutlet990. I figured i would check out the quality of the bracelet and at the least i would get a decent set of end links that might have fit better with decent spring bars. My conclusion after it just arrived was that the end links are still not a great fit for the 1665 and the spring bars are to wide. with the spring fully compressed it will not fit my MBW case.

The worst part is my TC SD bracelet's spring bars are to fat to even fit my original bracelet and end links. So here i sit with 3 bracelets and no solutions to my problem.

Can one of you gurus please chime in and point me in the right direction? I am banging my head on the wall right now. role

  8. Yea i was going to sell my Rolex 1665 Vintage Great White MBW and my PO V5 Fraken project to fund this baby and I almost sold them both before i received the WatchCo 300 and I am glad i decided to wait and make sure I liked it.

I know many of you love it, and i do love the look as well. Just the feel isnt quite there for me. Atleast not at that price

  9. Well gents, im sad to say this, but i received the Watcho Seamaster 300 no date today and i dont love it. i really really really thought i would, especially with your tutorial quaresma7. I guess it just feels somewhat dainty. And for the $2,200 USD price tag im not sure if it is a keeper. I will post pictures when i get home tonight.

If anyone is interested in purchasing please PM me. It is still unwrapped, with full receipts and infomraiton. Im going to give it a few days and if i dont change my mind put it in the for sale section.

Thanks again for all your help!

  10. I think I may be leaning towards the 300. Something about the vintage is just awesome to me. Also, the PO is a 45mm head which i would prefer the 42mm and it has the black rubber strap rather than the steel. Quaresma yours really is a beauty, that might be the icing on the cake for me. This one does not have the date function. Looks like likability is going to take precense over the "better price". I guess i can always franken a UPO for a decent price too.
