Right about the time 'Casino Royale' was released, I believe. (Maybe later?) It's the version of the SMP that Bond wears during the second half of the film. Part of Omega's 2007 collection.
It hit the market about summertime of last year - before the movie was released but after principle filming had been completed, hence no close-ups of the SMP. The prop used on set was a GMT model!!

Link Calibre 36 could not be replicated, since it is based on the El Primero 400 Calibre.
Did I not say that?
Here's mine...Sold it.....
For a PAM?! Trade in an exquisite movement like that for a clunkey old Unitas?!?!
-
Calibre 36 will not be repped properly or accurately until someone can rep the high beat (36,000 bph) movement. I believe it is an El Primero derivative.
Been discussed before........

**I added the waterproof $50 option for the 45.5mm version BTW.
You threw away $50 then....

Food for thought.
A year ago I paid

Next episode - why the super reps are not that super after all.
Oh, hang on. We've done that one.....
-
Don't forget these PAM "ripoffs" can go to depths of 1000m!
PAMs are in fact a rip-off of what these guys were making......
-
-
Hmmmmm.
Now that is going to create a dilemma for the product placement guys for the next Bond movie......
-
Interesting!
The ST-18 movement choice makes shoe-ing in a 2824 ETA a doddle.....!
-
This watch can't be on anything but a NATO.
Anyway, mine's been delayed because of a QC issue with another watch I ordered to be despatched with it. Nice to see Silix ARE doing some checks before shipping stuff out.......
-
Amica chips (crisps) stink.
Maybe that's the point?!?!
Cheese and onion anyone?
-
The ETA 2824 bracelet is cheap and weak.
Be careful with that generalisation. Despite production of the best ST-18/2824 SMPs stopping over 2 years ago, availability of 2824 based SMP reps has continued to this date but successive releases have seen deteriorations in quality that are well documented eg. loss of 3 o'clock hour marker, band going through several changes including dispensing with genuine-style pins and tubes, loss of the 5-piece compound end-link to be replaced with a cheaper single casting, changes in size/font of dial print - usually for the worse, etc. etc. etc.
-
How very timely, considering the plethora of Bond Vintage Subs that have just hit the market....
-
That rep is utter crap. The crown and guard are missing and the case is the wrong shape and........
...huh....
What's that you are saying?! Am I missing something here.........?
-
then I'll have to have a go at Captain Pugwashes explanation of how to remove and re-fit the bezel (which I am sure will mean my needing to end up buying a complete b****y new watch...)
Don't panic! I've done precautionary work to a few uPO bezels (ie. regluing with proper adhesive) and they come off fairly easy if you use some common sense and care, and a plastic kitchen spatula .
Also, take the opportunity to lightly grease the 'leaves' on the spring while the bezel and watch are apart!

Mmmmmmmm.
Oris.......
-
With recessed dates?
Not in the slightest!!
Check this out.
The subdials being in a different place are a giveaway tho....
-
There are genuine 7750 based Navitimers too. Older models though....
-
A rumour went round about a year ago that a blue Planet Ocean Chrono would be featured in Casino Royale before launch of the watch on the market. The rumour was backed up by some horrendous Photoshop jobs.
The rep is a (pointless) fantasy.

... and he's no longer in this hobby.
If someone wants to buy me some Superlume, I'll learn how to do it.
Now there's a thought!! I might have a proposal for ya.......!!

Bob Frei has informed me it has been corrected. The correct crystal would have arrived but the HTML programmer did it wrong on the web page!
I'm going to order a dial and hands plus the crystal and I will get a new movement from Cousins UK. Cannot decide between 2892-a2 or 2836-2. I hope they will fit the lite case!
2892 and 2824 will fit the 'lite' no problems. The case on DG (asian) and ETA movement uPO are identical. 2836 may also fit but you could have a problem getting the anti-mag core on as the 2836 is a thicker movement.
Another option is the Seagull ST-18 which Cousins now stock!!!

Absolutely gorgeous. Calibre 6 movement Link for $800 is a steal.

So, what exactly is your point, hk?
