+1 what sgt said. Dude, sometimes the "if you've got it, flaunt it" expression doesn't apply. Don't get caught up trying to impress people with material possessions, that they know you can't afford. Just enjoy your piece for what it is - an inexpensive replica of something you desire, but can't afford............yet. If anyone asks if it's gen, be straight with them. What does it say about you, if you are lying to people, to try & impress them? I won't buy anything that is a rep of mega-expensive gens, that I would never be able to afford, on what I make. I opt for stuff that are reps of gens that I could afford, if I really wanted to. Just my opinion. :-)

As always, I am astounded by the brilliance of the modders on this board. Well done sir, you are a genius!

Here's Andrew's new web address guys. Just in case you missed his post. As reported by Panerai153 in another thread, his old domain has been closed down by legal representation for Oakley. I wonder if others will be targeted, also.

Hope you don't mind me crashing your thread, sgt. I've just received a UPO 42mm from Andrew, that I ordered on behalf of a mate. It was my fourth purchase from Trusty, & I can absolutely reinforce everything you are saying. The guy is a dead set gentleman. Always quick replies, (no matter what time of day, I don't know when he sleeps!) & seamless transactions. I had the watch in my hands 8 days after my initial email inquiry. (I'm in Sydney). Gotta be happy with that. I emailed Andrew to thank him for such quick, courteous service, & even got a reply to that, within an hour! So if anyone was contemplating purchasing from Trusty, all I can say is, go ahead, you can order with confidence. Oh, & I hear what you're saying about the wife......................good luck with that!
BTW THIS IS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT FOR TRUSTYTIME

Hello & welcome Telis. Congratulations, you have discovered the friendliest & most knowledgable watch forum in existence. Enjoy it to the extreme. The guys on here are the greatest, & always ready & willing to share their vast knowledge.

Great little snippet of advice, thanks Matt. Can't justify to the Minister for War & Finances, (AKA The missus) the cost difference between Swiss v Asian, so Asian it must be. So if I can look after it the best I can, it's all good.

In the weeks its wonderful. Can hike for hours and not meet a single person... In the weekends all the tourists come..
These are not wristies. So if admin wants to delete them they can.. But instead of making a whole thread ill share some pics from today. I seldom bring a camera on my hikes..
Absolutely beautiful ASCI. I've always said that I wouldn't like to live somewhere that it snows. But these stunning pics could easily convince me otherwise. Awesome, Well done.

+1 mate, I really think you're on to something. Either way I'm pleased to have found you.

Bummer, I guess that would be a difficult one to claim under warranty

Ah, good old Aussie Post. Bless 'em. Awesome concept, dude. Hope it's do-able. Be sure to keep us posted.

Hi folks. I post this once or twice a year ... you come in here looking for info but you're not familiar with the layout of the place, and it seems like a big maze. Maybe you find a sub-section you are looking for and start reading .. but consider this: almost everyone comes here looking for one thing, but if you only look for one thing, you'll never know about some amazing off-brand or model you'd never heard of. In short, you don't know what you don't know!
How can you look at everything people are talking about, without trolling through every forum? the View New Posts button! If you click it, it will show you every topic posted today, or the last week .. You don't have to navigate the forum, and you are instantly shown what is a hot topic of conversation.
It's in the upper right corner of the screen .. try it!
Thanks Jkay, yet more great advice. Yes, I'm guilty of not even seeing that button before now. Pleased it wasn't a snake Although I have spent many, many hours just trawling the forum...........just because it's here, & just because it's awesome! And you are dead right about finding brands, etc. I've discovered, & am continuing to discover plenty, so thanks again.

Very nice. I too have been bitten by the Pam bug. I'm going the 111, though. Or maybe the 112, or maybe the 390, or maybe............But I won't do anything drastic with the rest of th collection. Wll just have to acquire another box to store them.

More nudity Z. Aaaarrrrrgggghhh, my eyes.

Very nice, my friend. I was reasonably sure that this was going to be my next watch. Now I am certain

Beautiful piece my friend. Great QC pics, Angus really is one of the best, Many could learn from him.

I see this thread is very old - before my time here, but I feel compelled to comment on what a stunningly spectacular piece this is. As always, I am in awe of the craftsmanship by the members on here.

Anticipation is killing me! Lol. I can't wait to get my QC pics from Andrew! Patience is not my strong suit.
Ahhhhhhh, be patient Grasshopper

Greetings from NY
I've spent some time reading posts here, and the info is almost overwhelming, but I'm glad y'all are here! I'm looking forward to my future acquisitions, and with all the resources here, I know that they'll be good ones.
Welcome friend, enjoy the ride.

She was beautiful ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361580601.302717.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361580631.736438.jpg And will be again.
Yes she will be. It's just a crying shame that whomever caused the carnage didn't have the common courtesey to do the right thing. What is wrong with people today?

All watches with there respective owners in just under 3 days ! What are odds on that outcome..........................
Well done guys, kudos all round.

I was going to 'Like' this comment, but merely liking it wouldn't do it justice. You hit the nail on the head, iCoop. Ditto to Dieselpower & Panerai153. Well said gentlemen.
Yay, this topic is back, cool!
You have to be annoyed that the guy with the $300 Panerai REP gets exactly the same satisfaction from that watch that you get from your $8000 Submariner! So they bag on reps, their low quality and blatant flaws while they see reps everyday and have no idea that they are looking at anything less than a gen.
Ever see a rep/gen comparison video on Youtube, half of them have some guy holding a $30 street corner sub with a 21600 movement and a broken bezel up against a gen, they would crap themselves in the presence of a UPO straight out of the box, no mods! or a PAM005, hell even the questionable accuracy of the 116610 reps would blow them away. I don't feel better when I wear a gen over a rep and I don't feel better wearing a rep of a $10000 gen than I do when wearing an actual gen. I get the same satisfaction from all of my watches because I just like wearing nice watches and wearing reps allows me to wear many different watches, in many different styles without completely breaking the bank.
That said, Goddammmmm I need me that new Ceramic Planet Ocean! Oh and a Flyback Panerai Luminor, yeah yeah, that's the ticket! And I want a Calibre 17RS Grand Carrera, but that's all I need, as long as I get those I'm set. Those and maybe a new DateJust..... I think you get the picture.

What the...............................???????????????????

So sorry to read your tale iCoop, & all you other guys too. I have one also, but mine happened in our company carpark, so the perpetrator was some one I worked with...............nice. Same deal, nobody saw anything, security cameras didn't pick it up. Stories like this are wrong on so many levels. Some folks just don't get it. You take a little pride in yourself, & your posessions, & people think that you are some kind of weirdo - just because you care. Hope your panel & paint guy does a good job on the repair. Good luck.
Anyone used the search bar lately.................wtf
