Hi Guys, I've always been a Rolex guy but have fallen for the JLC Master Control in a big way - the question is, can you advise who to buy from in terms of quality? Trusty has the model I am after, but I have no concept of who offers the best JLC reps, unlike my knowledge of Subs for example. Thanks in advance.

I just didn't see it. I went from an Air King to the Sub and did not notice at the time. Maybe my point is, you expect perfection for £4000, on a steel watch made by Rolex. There should be no excuses, but then again, they do mass produce one million watches a year........

I'd like to make a quick point - I owned a gen 16610lv around two years ago. I paid £4075 from an AD and for about a week was delighted until it kind of hit home that I'd bought a stainless steel watch that actually had a crooked cyclops. The watch went back and I was given a replacement by the dealer. I never felt the same about the watch and eventually sold it on. I get the fact that Rolexes are a luxury item etc, but for me still mass produced and severely overpriced. A pal of mine has a GMT 2 that was purchased brand new for around half the price of my sub around 2003. I will never buy gen again, for me it borders on pointless when I can get a TC or BK for next to nothing in comparison.

Hi all, I've had a look round the forum and can't seem to find where to buy a good or Clarks insert for a 16660? Excuse me if it's obvious.. It will be replacing the insert on a Trusty Ultimate 16660. Thanks

Great write up and comparison. I've just ordered my first rep from Andrew, a black 16610 sub with eta movement. Really curious as to what to expect having owned a gen 16610lv in the past.....
