  1. Ok but for someone that has been eyeing a ceramic PO rep for a while, does the bezel still have the issues with the paint coming off?
  2. Problem is I'm so picky that after watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSZevquCQno I can't help but notice the quality isn't even close. Maybe if the movement was like the gen, being able to see it move through the skulls eye I'd splurge on it. But I just can't do it.
  3. Yeah it's the gold one though, wow at that price. Wonder if anyone here bought the rep version.
  4. Thanks, any more info on the actual model? Can't find anything on it, not even a picture.
  5. Hey all I got to meet Sylvester Stallone at New York Comic con and he had a new watch on. I asked him about it and he said I had nice taste, but I couldn't hear him when he said what kind it was. You can see it here in this new interview. http://watch.accesshollywood.com/video/arnold-schwarzenegger-sylvester-stallone-talk-facing-off-in-escape-plan/2743924572001
  6. I've never seen gold trim around the hands or numbers on the PO's. My gen 45.5 has silver. If you check ebay for the real ones they are all silver.
  7. Been measuring the time each day, it hasn't lost a second yet. A big difference from the last one I bought. Now to decide if I want the pumpkin bezel. I do miss it, but the black looks good too.
  8. Brought it to my local rolex guy, he has the timing machine for various movements(although not co-axial.) Verified with him that if there was a fake movement (asian or swiss ETA) in there his machine would be able to record the beats no problem. The read out came all gibberish using all four readings, which means it's a co-axial movement. I didn't feel like driving 30 miles just to have a guy tell me the same thing, and I don't want to open the case back and void the warranty just yet. Was 90% sure thanks to you guys, now I'm 99.9% sure
  9. Ok so either it's real or I've discovered the Chinese's master plan of replicating the PO to perfection.
  10. Ok Gotcha. The seller bought the watch from a dealer on Ebay in May. He never asked about the discrepancy in the numbers. He is refunding me some money to make up for the fact that he didn't mention this issue. I think I'm going to try and find someone with a co-axial timing machine so I can verify it is an omega movement without having to open it up. My other option is to just have my rolex guy open it up since I plan on swapping the bezel anyway and you say this will void the warranty. With the money I saved if I ever have to get it serviced it will still be cheaper to pay the $300 than to have to buy this watch new. I'm keeping track of the time deviation to make sure it's not losing much time each day.
  11. There is no serial number filled out on the card, so I could just fill that in couldn't I. What else is required when sending to omega for a warranty service? I've heard conflicting stories about needing a receipt. DO I need the Chronometer certificate because that's where I would have the issue since they don't match. Waiting to hear back from the seller now. Thanks for everyone's input. Also, my local Omega dealer said they won't do a bezel swap because the serial number is in the bezel as well and it would void the warranty. Is this true? I plan on swapping to the Orange bezel and would rather avoid sending it out to do this.
  12. Yeah unfortunately my local Omega dealer says they won't look at it because it would void the warranty they would have to send it out. Which means I'd have to be without the watch for god knows how long. Might have to say screw the warranty and have someone open it up.
  13. I don't want to start a dialogue yet until I know one way or another if it's real.
  14. Unfortunately that's what I'll probably have to do, I don't have the tools so I'll have to have the dealer do it.
  15. Thank you for your input, obviously if it's REAL I'll wear it proudly but for the price I paid if it is fake then I'll proudly return it and buy a fake just like it because man this thing looks good if it is fake. I'm just worried about the certificate not matching up. If anyone needs any more pictures please let me know I'll gladly take more to verify. I appreciate everyone's help
  16. I hope not lol. Bought it through Ebay, everything seemed to check out in the pictures but when I looked at it the AR didn't look as good as my previous 2208.50. The pearl was a little different and then I thought maybe the date wheel wasn't perfectly flush. Am I just being paranoid? The red dot is there and intact, but I'm worried that could be faked. A little back story, I bought a real nice Pumpkin 45.5 but the movement was losing 15 seconds a day and the watch guys I sent it to couldn't fix it for some reason so I sent it back. The AR blew me away, it was so clean that it looked like there was no crystal because there was no glare. I didn't exactly get that impression in this model. (If it's real I'm getting the orange bezel) Also, the serial number on the chronometer certificate is different than the watch. I looked up the serial number on the case and couldn't find any record of it being a known fake one. Please help before I bring it to my Omega dealer. I'd rather not make the long drive if I don't have to. Thanks everyone for your help!
  17. That logo is wrong though isn't it?
  18. Strike that, Andrew says he can't replace the part because the factory has closed down since I purchased it I would just like to know if I could find a ring myself, I tried the link above but couldn't find it. I couldn't find a page 108 with what you specified, I did find the gasket section in one of their catologues, but I'm not sure what the cross section size in millimeters is (thickness of the o-ring). I measured the inside of the crown where it belongs and it's about 3 mm, but I have no idea what the other measurement is.
  19. I messaged Andrew at TrustyTime and he is going to send me a new crown and pin, nice guy!
  20. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here. The little black o-ring that seals the crown has broken off. I need to find a replacement, and was wondering if anyone here can help me. Thanks in advance!
  21. Yeah I figured, all of the watches I've wanted lately are too new and probably not popular enough to warrant a replica. The Ebel 1911 BTR, the 2007 Tag Mercedes SLR, and this one.
  22. Thanks for the response, now my question is, does anyone reliable sell Porsche Design replicas?
  23. If you think The Rock, Bad Boys, and Transformers are bad movies then you must not have a pulse. And judging from your attempt at humor, maybe you don't have a pulse. But seriously, anyone else with half a brain want to respond with any ideas? Looks like a cool watch. I know he's a Breitling fan but this doesn't look like anything they've put out.
