  1. Manually wind it, give it 30 or so turns of the manual wind [censored] (after releasing the crown guard of course) and that should set it off running.

Yep, manually wind it and then give it a gentle shake from side-to-side - should get it going.

If that doesn't work, some people reckon giving a watch a slap can kickstart it. I've never had to do it but, if I did, I think I'd hold the watch in the palm of my hand and then slap the back of my hand as hard as I'm prepared to tolerate. If it doesn't work it should at least provide some entertainment for anyone watching.

  2. This reminds me so much of when I was a moderator over on the other RWG when Joey got banned. He's like a friggin' bull dog that bites and just wont let go, no matter how senseless it gets.

He is certainly a "special case" but it is, at least, keeping this thread advising people about the loser MD2020 at the top of the board.

  3. I know replica sunglasses has been discussed in other forum threads before.

But has anyone bought from PA?

It says UV400, is that something you could count on to be true?

I asked KB for sunglasses, but he doesn't provide them anymore.

I've been through this on a number of cycling forums too.... UV transmission protection is an inherent property of polycarbonate. It would be expensive to make sunglasses that didn't give UV protection.

I've also discussed this with my optician. The only thing she warned about with cheap glasses (rep or otherwise) was UV reflection from the back of the untreated lens. A good set of sunglasses will have a coating to prevent UV reflections.

For me, and cycling glasses that fit close to my face, UV reflectance of the back of the glass isn't an issue but if I was wearing e.g. RB Aviators reflection would be more of an issue.

  4. ...In fact if  i were an AD, and someone came into my store with a fake, I would politely tell him, I'm sorry, but Rolex will not allow us to work on Replica watches, but I if and when yo decide to purchase a genuine watch, i will be more than happy to help you with finding one. We also sell very nice jewelry, etc. so if you are ever looking for a present for your wife, girlfriend, business associate, etc., please come by and let us help you. If you treat folks like that, who knows, that individual might very well come in six months later and spend 5k on and engagement ring!!

Exactly - there is absolutely nothing in it for the shop to treat you badly but if they treat you decently, well.... who knows?

  5. Thanks for the great answers!

Panerai153: And if i were to get "busted", what happens then?

Nothing much. It depends what kind of 'busted'.

    Is it:

    1. "Nice rep, mate - they get better every year don't they?" in which case you say "Yes, it's a rep - I'm very pleased with it. You are quite beautiful. Would you like to come for a drink with me?"
    2. "You are wearing a fake and are low-life scum" in which case you say "**** Off, you ignorant loser. I will take my money elsewhere" then you take your watch   and leave the store hopefully letting go an eggy fart on the way out.
