  1. A friend just re-opened a once popular club, which hit hard times in the mid nineties. I am a silent partner in the deal (1/2 $). Anyway, it is his vision and so far (6 weeks in), the place is hot. The basic tenet of the place is steaks and naked sushi bar. Interesting combo. I've been around the forums for a couple of years, but rarely (if ever), do I post. Let me know when you are looking to have this NYC GTG, how many people are anticipated to show, and it can be held at the club. This way, you'll be able to get a lot, but not pay NYC prices.... Its a possibility and its available to you guys. Either way, I would like to make it to the GTG and get to put some faces with the names of people whose opinions & discussions I respect and enjoy!
  2. You seemed to have gotten lucky. I have tried multiple times to contact this guy, via email, via pm, via my own email (all to no avail). Originally, upon my initial inquiry, he did respnd in a timely fashion & even supplied with payment info, etc. Before placing my order, I went back into both his photo pages and selected five additional pieces, which I want to purchase. That was approximately 3 weeks ago. Since then, every few days I attempt to contact him, but for whatever the reason, his boxes are always filled or I guess he just ignores his emails. After reading various posts from others, erratic behavior is not new when dealing with him. Maybe my attempts to contact him are incorrect or maybe there is some special code that you need to use to get a response from him. I'm not sure what you did that is all that 'out of the ordinary' (judging from your post), but if so, please let me know.
  3. K' Berg: I appreciate your candor as well as everyone else's in the forum. The question still in my mind being completely new to this whole "buying over the internet" through eBay is that I was under the impression that eBay prohibits replica's from being sold on their site. Obviously, when I saw this auction, I knew it "stank"of being a rep, but I figured for 3 bones, how bad could it be. After speaking to seller, he vehemently attests the watch is legit. From an visual standpoint, do you have any specific examples of why its definitely a rep (other than the price)? I own a gen ALS, however I do not proclaim myself to be an expert at identifying rep vs. gen. The price alone is a dead give away b/c no one in their right or wrong mind would basically just give the piece away. So it appears that I convinced myself that I was indeed making the "deal of the century" What a schmuck I am! Matthew
  4. First time posting here too. I also just won an auction on eBay for an A Lange & Sohne Watch for $300. Not sure of its authenticity. If I posted link wrong, the item # 270082137943. Thanks, Matt A Lange & Sohne Ebay
