But why collector Big Stream,,,I think he is more obscure than most collectors with big websites and all. Did he [censored] off anybody here lately?? He seem such a nice guy.

Since when did this CN sub bezel became hard to remove?? Are this different than the usual piece of thin wire retainer arround the bezel? The last sub I had (BeginMariner) was the same thin wire retainer arround the bezel just like my 2 year old subs.

Very nice Euno!! Is the 6 and 12 a bit thicker than normal? I am thinking of getting the AMG chrono version, but I'm a bit worried about that seconds on the 6.

I'd say the short hands and dial print on that wo-mart black smp is not good. I have seen one from River before with longer hands and good dial print. I do not know if River can still source it.

FYI, This watch gained fame in the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger.

Some say it worth $4K - $5K other say if I located the orginal receipt (Purchased in St admin in 1962) it could go over $10K because the dial and hands are untouched and GREAT conditon behind the well worn orginal crystal.

Because the watch has never been worked on... I am still trying to decide weather to rebuild or leave in it current condition.

Regardless of how much you paid for it Tickle me _____ It be $10 or $10K, the fact that you have this piece is awesome. When I said "rebuild it" I meant, just make it run if not running. I would preserve as it is by not changing the look of it but only replacing wornout parts to make it run.

From time time my wife and I would go to this richie nieghborhoods yard sale and I am always in the lookout for items like this. I know they are out there. Even if your find is a rep,,it is still a very good buy for us vintage lover. Open it up and see if it is a gen(which I suspect it is) and see if you can get it restored. This is supposed to the late 50s 6536,,,my only concern is it should only have the "SWISS" below the 6,,but who knows Rolex have so many types of dial.

So, I ordered a Yachtmaster Rolesium and a PAM253 from Silix last wednesday (8days ago). He told me he would send me an email w/tracking number when the watches ship out. When i didn't receive an email from him by tuesday i decided to send him a message just checking to make sure everything was ok. (that was 2 days ago)... About 10 minutes ago Silix finally replies to me after his 8 day hiatus and says this about my watches:

"I am sorry for the delay. We had ur watch here, but one did nto pass the quality check. So we have to wait for new ones to come, which should be here in a couple of days. Sorry for keeping u wait. Nice day." -Silix

After all the threads and discussions on Quality control these days... how come no one else has heard of silix doing his own "Quality Check"?? Is this a new procedure of his, or could this just be an excuse to cover for the delay in my order...? Opinions/experiences welcome...

Just kidding you,,, actually most members that are familiar with Silix do not even bother about the tracking#. Happened to me twice,,after 2 weeeks after payment, I sent them an email enqiurey about the order. Jay said "oh sorry here it is",,me not knowing that the oink stub is already in my mailbox.

Don't get me wrong, it is just normal to remind our dealer about our order. They can forget too,,or something can happen along the way.

Just give it a tap and turn the extractor slowly counter clockwise, just be gentle. I have used the screw extractor and the rat tail file and they work. The part of the tube that goes into the case are sometimes,,like paper thin, so do not be surprise if it break.
