Great suggestion. I think that's what I'll do - shave a little off the base of the crown.
-
Thanks, I suspected as much. Great 5512 you have there too!

Thanks And thanks for the tip!

Anyone know if a 702 crown will fit to a 703 tube? I still find the 703 crown a little high for the cartel's stubby CGs.

Here's mine from Angus (PT) with an ETA 2846 movement. I think for the price it's one of better out-of-the-box solutions. It has the correct case and markings (the Josh/Cartel (PC) version doesn't, it uses the incorrect SD case, which is much thicker than the 5513). I've lightly aged the case, dial and hands. Also added a T19 crystal. Installed an insert I picked up on the bay, as the PT one had one too many minute markers, e.g. after the "50" it had 4 instead of the correct 3. It‘s now on an Admiralty Grey NATO strap from Phoenix, who supplied the MOD with the originals. Next mod will be the dial, NDT is too expensive for me, so I'm waiting for Yuki to re-stock their vintage lume version. (btw. If anyone has one knocking around, please let me know – thanks )

Thanks, believe it or not on the bay

Really nice, but the cartel insert has 1 too many minute markers between the numerals compared to the gen.

What's going on between the "20" and "21"? In your photo the "2s " look very different from each other. -

RWG is great to to navigate through compared to Repgeek and RWI. Much cleaner looking site too. One suggestion would be to always include seller location in sales thread titles i.e. EU, CONUS etc. -

Great. Thank you for the link:)

Thanks for the tip! Who or what is Ubis?

Adjusted the dial again. Around the 20s the numbers are still off. Guess I'll wear a different watch on those days – until a decent overlay comes up.

Hi All, Just modded my 1665 DSDR. The basis being the Perfect Clones ETA version Josh has on offer. What I've done so far: Aftermarket Singer dial aged slightly Aftermarket T19 crystal (I'm not a fan of the Superdome T39) Aged the case slightly The thing what bugs me is the date wheel alignment, some numbers align some don't. The Singer dial window is slightly larger than the Cartel version compensating a little. Anyone know if there's a better date wheel out there? I know the original Rolex date wheel has the numbers printed running in the other direction, so with the ETA movement the date would run in reverse if I overlaid the original. Also the back, were the engraved letters also painted originally? Thanks!

Are you in the EU? I'd be interested.

Thanks for the info. I asked Yuki if they triangulate, unfortunately they don't.
-
I'm also thinking about ordering a 5513 ETA dial from Yuki. Has anyone had customs issues with delivery to Germany? I know they ship items as a gift valued $35 to the EU, however my guess is that won"t cut it. I've emailed Yuki directly about customs issues, but haven"t had a response yet.

Great strap I found from Rossini1931, the model is "Albatross". A nice alternative to the standard rep strap.
