  1. Sounds very exiting ! Thanks Freddy.
  2. I understand and agree of course. Everyone should be free to give of course, and according to what they can afford. Just saying 5$ is not useless and vip is a cool feature
  3. Admin : 10 members have upgraded their memberships and 29 members have made a donation to RWG so far Ryyannon : The following (non-contributing) members have visited today: with a huge list of members following Elwopo: @ non supporters......well....there really isn't anything better than the old standard....[censored] you. And there are so many more comments from generous members who feel so sad... That much views, so few upgrade and donations and such a big frustration. I wonder what all of us would feel like if RWG disapears. I'm so sorry there are not more people contributing financialy. Giving 5 $ is not useless, giving 10% of their last purchase is fair, some of the richer members giving 10% of what they saved for their entire collection value would save this place for a while too. But, for sure, if everyone that visit RWG say twice a week would upgrade to VIP, then these kind of thread from the Admin team would have no reason to exist anymore. Besides that, there are some great advantages to be VIP. In example I do not archive my mailbox every couple of days anymore as it's a huge one now that I have. Cheers Stephane
  4. Hey Tanfo, What about a group shot of your entire collection ? That must be a serious picture isn't it. Great to see your little treasures, thank you. Cheers Stephane
  5. Hmmm, it's a treasure to have some member posting that much watches. It's a pitty he doesn't "talk" I know from old members that this is the way you do it Tanfo. But, for fresh members, I would appreciate you tell us a little more...
  6. Fred, Feel free to shave the crown guards of mine ... Cheers Stephane
  7. Ok guys, sorry for the confusion I add in this thread. So: - Homer's one are ok, but a little to expensive right ? - The auction ones are not ok, but very cheap right ? Cheers Stephane
  8. Hi All, Hello By-Tor, I'm right back from France after 6 hours driving And here I see wonderfull pictures of my Daytona. Wow, that is one more great review for sure. You say: It's really difficult to package this beautiful watch now, and send it back to my friend Stephane. We had a good 3 days together. I know you packed it already, but please feel free to keep it as long as you want I'm currently receiving Pam Straps ....so, the Daytona isn't going to have that much of my wrist time these days Actually, I got this Daytona from Andrew back in december 2006. Of course, due to my addiction for vintage Rolies, I did not wear it much, but this last weeks I discovered that it's a great watch to wear. I have very small wrists so the 40 mm is absolutely perfect although, for me too, it feels very small after a week of Fiddy or UPO. As for the movement, well it's a pity one can't hope it will last forever but so far, like many others, I have had no problem. Maybe I should send it for service though...it could improve the longevity. One question to By-Tor and experts: would a genuine 7750 be a fix ? I mean would it be reliable with seconds at 6 ? Anyway, I was honoured that one of my watch was the base for a review of our master in reviews Cheers Stephane
  9. That is well said, true and ends with humour ! Bravo.
  10. Well not really, but I can be wrong. I understood you get it for 0.99 + 11.99 ... If not, sorry. But I think it's more likely going to end like RepAustria say: 70$ + shipping. Cheers, no offend pls. Stephane
  11. Congrats man, this is a very nice collection indeed! Thanks for sharing. Cheers Stephane PS: get some vintage...you won't want others anymore.
  12. 0.99 is the start of the auction I believe !
  13. Agreed with Nanuq. My riveted has a screw that comes out and I do not trust it at all... Bad news Loctite doesn't help. I guess I will have to fit another bracelet to my GreatWhite. Having said that, I do not experience the same problem with my Edge 1680 Red... Cheers Stephane
  14. Aaarghhh, Nanuq you make us all jalous @TMG: you too make me jalous @Duke: Happy Birthday.
  15. Nope Mamzelle Strap, No straps from TC yet...strange it take so much time ! Cheers Stephane
  16. being away with more watches this time, I have a hard time picking one and swap several times a day So, here they are for wednesday and thursday: IWC Ingie AMG (but now with a Lello DW) Pam 112H AP RO MBK Rolex SD GW
  17. 4. Bad pearl 5. Lazer edged crown too visible And yes, you gamble with an unknown dealer / person. Stick to RWG's collectors, they are proven to be good (allthough some members disagree). Cheers Stephane
  18. Very nice gesture J. Thank you very much for the community.
  19. Cool. Working indeed. Done. Good luck to RWG. Cheers Stephane
  20. I wish I could give you a detailled "tarif" of parts but I don't have it. I can only tell you that from a plain MBW to a fully modded watch the total budget, including genuine parts only, is around 300
  21. For insert and pearl, ClassicWatchPart is a good source but they do not have it available all the time... Now, if you really want to source all this yourself and then find someone to do the mods, why not. But there might be a shortcut. Some members here have all these parts in their stock and are ok with selling them and installing them for you. That is how I dealt with it. As an example, Tribal did my 16610. Now, I suppose that finding accurate bracelets for a 1680 is something more tricky but it should be possible for him, I think. Cheers Stephane
  22. Oh, ok. Now I get it. George, I guess you made a bracelet review once ... Ok, well it seems we achieved what I was looking for: understand what Elias wants. I can't help him though as bracelets for vintage Rolies are incredibely expensive because there ain't no accurate rep, only genuine. Only one end link cost twice the price of an entire rep bracelet, at least. Please let him know that "my" best way to deal with this is get a rep riveted bracelet... From what I know, TTK can get these riveted bracelets. Genuine bracelets for vintage Rolies are somewhere between 500 and 900 $...depending on luck... Unless they know someone kind enough to sell one that they bought 25 years ago for a fraction of the price ! Cheers Stephane Seen on the web: 78360 bracelet with brand new 93150 fliplock clasp and 580 endlinks = $650USD 78360 bracelet with 580 endlinks (90% condition - minimal stretch) = $500USD
  23. Sorry, count me out. No Pm notification, no emails.... If you can't get this right since the first minute, no way you can get it right later. My 2 cents. Cheers Stephane
