  1. Hi I have two watches, about 3 years old with the same issue. I have a Breitling Super Avenger and a Chronomat Evolution Both Asian A7750's bought from Puretime.

The crown only has about a half a turn left to catch on to the tube.  Can anyone advise what is the more likely to have threaded, the crown or the tube.

I am in the UK and would appreciate if anyone can give me a pointer to anyone in Europe who could possibly repair this issue.

    Cheers

    Del

  2. Hi folks,

I'm in the UK and need to return a watch to the dealer in China, who has said "please send by register airmail or ems". Does anyone know, if I want it to be delivered in China by EMS, who do I ship it with from the UK? I've spent some time on the ems.com.cn and really cant figure it out. Do I just sent with Royal Mail? I'm guessing that it would be silly to send it without tracking, but then the only fully tracked option costs over

  3. Sent my Breitling SA back to my dealer for repair.

Used a service from the UK called "International Airmail" with the added option of "International Signed For".

Despatched the watch from the UK on 06/06 and picked up the tracking trail on 12/06 when it arrived in Beijing. It has since been moved to the local airport Guangzhou International.

The problem I have is it has sat there now since 16/06. The tracking system translation on the status reads "The total imports of each package closure seal fat".

Should I be worried that the watch will not get to it's destination or is this normal within the Chinese Postal system?

    Any advice much appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Purchased last September. Dial was a decent shade of white as per 1st photo.

Dial has been steadily turning a weird shade of gold. Now the chrome on the numerals appears to be peeling. If you look closely you will see there is a dark section then a lighter bit around each of the numerals.

Watch has never been opened, never been wet and never exposed to any chemicals or extreme conditions. Treated exactly as my other watches.

Anyone got any idea whats happening here?

Contacted the dealer with regards a replacement dial.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. The genuine can looks white in certain lighting

or like this below as well...is it similar to your replica?.

The best measure I have on the dial "whiteness" is when compared side by side to my SFSO. The $100 SFSO has remained a bright white colour whilst the SA has changed quite a bit.

Don't get me wrong it still looks great and is probably unrecognisable to anyone who is not an expert. Probably even adds a bit of character to the watch as it does not cheapen the look.

Can only assume that either the colour change is due to light exposure or a contamination from one of the materials used in the dial construction.

  6. Anyone else noticed a distinct change in the dial colour of the Super Avenger.

Although never the right colour as discussed many times on here the dial was at least white.

Over the months my dial has slowly changed to more of a very light champagne colour. Best way to describe it would be white with a very suttle touch of gold added.

On closer inspection I am now seeing the area directly around the numbers are a little lighter than the rest of the dial area.

The watch still looks superb but beginning to wish I had gone for the black dialled version now.

  7. Im waiting on a watch still too! He has replied to me though saying its finished so im hoping so have it back soon!

Had a SFSO repaired by around the middle of last year. Stem had become detached so simply a case of re-attaching to the movement (no spare parts required). The whole process took around 8 - 10 weeks and a ton of emails and PM's demanding the return of my watch.

Whilst the job was done (although the date does not change from the stem unless it is held at a certain angle) I was seriously unimpressed by the customer service aspects. It took an age from the point where he told me the watch was fixed to eventually posting it.

Personally I would not send another watch for repair. After reading this thread this has confirmed my belief.

To be fair I do not believe he there is any dishonesty involved. If there had been I would never have seen my watch again. More a case of disorganised and por communications.

Possibly I am doing him a dis-service but just my honest opinion.

  8. An absolute beast of a watch. I have the white(ish) version and have to say I am 100% delighted with the purchase.

I have 2 SFSO's and a Chrono Evo, both are also superb. When I wear any of these for a few days then move to the SA the size of this watch is mindblowing. When you first put it on your wrist I defy anyone who has not experienced that wow factor.

    Buy Buy Buy IMHO :D

  9. Sorry but watchmark sold you a Lite version for 290$

He offerd you 100$ discount would be 190 for a watch you could get for only 100$ from other dealers

And now you have to pay the difference for a watch you ordered and did not get...

For me that is a scam sorry nothing more and less

Take a look here is a real deal for less money

    http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1857

Exactly what I was thinking. I paid $100 plus shipping for an Asian SFSO White dial. You should be looking for near $200 back.

Do your homework, listen to the experienced guys and stick to the recommended dealers on here. That way you minimise the risk of being scammed.

  10. ok i will nv wear that into an AD. heh. anyway. i really love this watch. but i actually cant see the blue tint of the ar but i can see the crystal dissappear. weird right? i compared it with my bro's gen tag heuer calibre 6. i assume both got 28.8k beat movement. and yes my ticks sounds the same amount of ticks as his watch. so its safe to say its 2824-2 original eta swiss right?

BCE. should be my next watch. wahahaha

The start of an expensive hobbie. Enjoy your purchase.

  11. I see that you are in europe, you might want to try Precious time or Eurotimez you should be able to use paypay and your CC, i would be very alert about giving my CC details to one of these sites, a single use CC may be better.

I have bought 2 SFSO's from Sillix on seperate occasions and although not the quickest great value.

I have also bought a BCE and Super Avenger from Puretime. Delivery to the UK in under 1 week.

Both have been 1st class dealers with me on all 4 occasions I have purchased. The watches have been excellent value so I would recomend both.

On one occasion the watch was stolen in transit and the wife signed for an empty package. Silix replaced the watch with no questions asked. That tells me a lot about the man.

Don't dismiss the asian SFSO. I think Silix is still doing this around $100. To date by far my least expensive purchase but most definately the best value for money. I have an ETA version too but the Asian feels better when adjusting time / date etc.

    Hope this helps

  12. My Super Avenger White Dial arrived today and I have to say what a beast of a watch it is.

I remember the feeling when I received my first rep, A BCE from Angus, after reading so much about it I was still astounded by the quality.

Since then I have picked up Black Swiss SFSO & a white Asian SFSO, both fantastic watches and outstanding value for money.

The Super Avenger today has raised the bar considerably. An outstanding piece of work and what a size. The bling factor and the sheer mass of steel gives this timepiece some serious presence. To say I am delighted is an understatement.

This is becoming one seriously expensive hobby :D

BTW Angus was superb in communication when I thought there may have been a customs issue. Add to that 7 days order to delivery he gets my vote again as a trusted dealer.

I away to look at my watch again now!!! :p

  13. Good News (I Hope)

Now shows on route to local delivery depot so should see it tomorrow.

I was seriously paranoid after my last purchase saw an empty bag delivered. To his great credit Jay @ Silix immedietly replaced the missing item.

Looking good for the SA making it's debut at a party on Saturday night :D

Cheers for the input and re-assurance guys.

  14. I have something on the way myself, tracking states:

    Status: In progress

    Last tracked at: International Hub

    Tracking Event: "AWAITING CUSTOMS CHARGING"

Should be released in a day or so hopefully, maybe more........

Del_RFC does your tracking say "HELD" anywhere, as indicated by your thread title?

Yes, the status of the parcel shows as "Held"

  15. Yup. Like Phoband said...no AR, mineral crystal, and Asian slow beat. When they came out with the new'ish one about a year ago with the new pricing, Jay stayed the same. Good for him!!

His SFSO is definitely the best deal on the block.

I've had both the SFSO Asian & ETA versions from Jay @ Silix.

Bought a white dial Asian around a year ago for $100 and have to say this has been one superb deal. The movement feels good and it winds beautifuly. Less accurate than my ETA or BCE 7750 but gaining 60 seconds a day for $100 I can live with.

The lack of AR on the white dial also is no problem. Great deal, well recomended to anyone tempted by this watch.
