  1. if you say it fits your lifestyle id say wear daddys watch and stop moaning. if you are afraid damaging it or worse then it means you cant afford it just buy a cheaper gen cuz except PP only sports reps are good enough. you can always safe it and boast the breguet on timezone without needing to hide serial no to refresh your ego until your deserving achivement happens. been there done that this should save you some headache

I'm not going to defend myself here but your impression of me is very unrepresentative of reality. Regardless, I appreciate your input, everything has its place.

  2. Hello dearest members,

I'm on the lookout for my next purchase and my mind is exploding as I cannot settle on anything.

To describe myself, I am in my 20s, studying and working. I dress in a contemporary informal style every day, usually knitwear with ties, and I appreciate things of quality. I was blessed to have recently received a gen Breguet 7787 from my old man, and this is a watch I absolutely adore. Due to its high value, however, I am too paranoid to wear it every day everywhere and so I'm looking for something that could substitute it in every day life.

So I'm looking for a subtle but elegant dress watch. I don't like to show off but I consider myself to have good taste in life and naturally the perfect watch for me would reflect that. I'm a very big fan of Breguet, JLC, Arnold & Son, A Lange & Sohne, and the Jules Audemars series and AP RO, and own a 15400 rep but it's not satisfying my appetite quite enough.

Can anyone recommend something viable? I would prefer SS as in my experience gold attracts too much attention. I've been thoroughly researching the rep options of Breguet (sacrilege from a gen-owner, of course), JLC and some of the other brands for something viable but it seems none of these have been well replicated.

Your input is greatly appreciated! And accompanying this plea for your efforts is a cheeky shot of my beloved! :)

    Kindly

    Cory

  3. GenTle,

I'm very interested in purchasing a Datograph Flyback myself, and was wondering if you could give some feedback on the quality of the watch over time - are screws holding, is the movement accurate? How is the hand-winding movement working out?

Much appreciate any and all feedback. I'm currently stationed abroad and don't get to wear my gen Breguet and am longing for something classy to fill the void!

  4. Thanks for the input k0hr,

In the UK we have TK Maxx, however unfortunately I am currently stationed in Norway for the next few years on work affairs.

I went ahead and bought a pair of Chester Jefferies driving gloves. Can't wait to receive them, have high hopes!

  5. Hello RWG,

With Autumn in swing and winter just around the corner, many of us fashion conscious men will start wearing gloves.

I'm wondering what our community wears - please discuss different types, fits, brands, et cetera.

After losing a splendid pair of Calvin Klein brown leather gloves, I'm on the lookout for a new pair.

    Thanks chaps.

  6. Got a couple Moncler jackets and they work surprisingly well in different weather conditions.

They work for everyday winter weather in the UK but also keep warmth in much colder conditions up in the North (native Russian  ;) ).

I'm sure Ken has something that would fit you.

  7. Having owned and tried jeans across the price spectrum, I'm going to undoubtedly say that Diesel are the best.

They just fit incredibly well, awesome quality and of course look lovely. They've also been consistently 'in fashion' in my opinion for the last few years at least.

I'd guess it's not for everyone though - I've got large legs and a small waist - for me they're perfect.

  8. Hello Dear RWG

Now I'm against posting these kind of threads myself - so my apologies for the buggery in advance.

I've recently grown an indomitable affection for the Rolex Daytona - I'm particularly interested in the steel with the black dial. I've tried lurking around the Rolex area of the Forum, but I couldn't really find any solid information. This may very well be because I'm blind though.

I was wondering if some of you would kindly help me out here with your expertise. What kind of condition are the Daytona reps, what are the main flaws in comparison to the gen, and are there any particular rep models I should know about which are better than others?

    Thank you kindly guys.

    Cory
