  1. I can relate; the 92 is addictive. Re the strap, I know it's not OEM. I switched my rubber strap with a BOB calf deployant to be "different." I like the look, but it's probably a sin in the eyes of the Paneristi. I'd like to see some pics of your updated version if you have any; especially ones that show the date from straight on. Apart from 7750 mechanical problems ( ) the date is the only let-down on this model. Font too thin, mag too small. Rather hard to see. Good points outweigh the bad, however. Now I just have to fix the movement...
  2. That PP 24 was STUNNING. Who did you get it from?? I saw a mention of "River," but couldn't find the RWG member (with a "Dealer" profile). Anyone else carry this same model?
  3. Oh, they can be quite bad, actually. I ordered a winder that was DOA. Stunning on the outside, with beautiful polished wood. The Seller told me to open it up to see if there was a loose connection. Upon opening the box, I discovered what must have been the poorest electrical work I've ever seen and cheapo circuit boards; there was a sloppy spider web of glue strung all over the place. Serious crappolla. Fortunately, the seller was honorable and gave me a full refund for returned item.
  4. Awesome price for a great watch! For new gens, I found that authenticwatches.com has some very competitive prices. Still, don't see anything for near the deal you landed. Kudos and enjoy!
  5. The date font is actually different between the "Light" and the "Ultimate"? Apart from movement are there any other differences? Both use AR Sapphire, right?
  6. That thing is SWEEEET. Love the Nato strap. Wish you didn't show me that...
  7. Yep, one of my ALL TIME favorites. Once considered buying the genuine, but read that the 3303 (if I recall) movement is dicey. Apparently the chronograph is known to malfunction, and I've read that the movement is rather delicate. All sorts of threads about this if you Google it. I've seen reps for this model, but nothing jaw-dropping. I'm totally with you on this one--would make a great rep!!
  8. Very informative. Great info--thanks.
  9. Thanks for your thoughts. I figured it might be just a little 7750 snafu.
  10. So it seems. Just don't know how spot-on--or reliable--these modifed movements are... Do you know if the date wheel is supposed to move slowly between 23:30 - 00:00, or is it supposed to tick into place all at once?
  11. I just bought an Arktos--not sure which version it is although the seller tells me it's a V3 (latest) from his factory. Different markings than Pure Time's so my guess is that it's definitely from another factory. It has a 12-click bezel (as opposed to the 60-click), and clearly the date font is slightly thin with wrong cyclops mag. Nonetheless, magnificent watch, and probably my favorite to wear on a regular basis. Very heavy, solid looking and feeling. It's been acting kind of funky, so if anyone can assure me that the quirks are normal (or not) for the 7750 movement, I'd appreciate it. 1) Around 23: 30, the date begins to slowly turn until midnight. I thought that the mechanism was supposed to trigger a fast flip, so it crossed my mind that maybe I damaged my keyless works (yes... it's my first 7750 ). 2) Other than that, sometimes the date is slightly off (1-2 millimeters too high or low) in the date window. 3) I keep the watch in my winder. Every night it just stops for some reason. In the morning, I manually wind it, and nothing happens. I gently stir it (like wine in a wine glass according to The Zigmeister's advice), and still nothing. Once I pull the crown out 2 clicks and then apply the crown guard to push it back in, the watch starts working again. Haven't had it stop on me yet while I'm actually wearing it. I was planning to re lume the watch with The Zigmeister, but wanted to get some feedback first to see if there are mechanical issues that need to be investigated as well--or if this stuff is normal for this movement. Don't want to pay more for repairs than the actual value of the watch; would be better off buying a new one if I plan to re lume! Thanks in advance for your thoughts and advice.
  12. Yes, well, the collection sickness has already begun. It's a nasty habit, these watches.
  13. Great site, been lurking for a while. Should have introduced myself before posting. I'm a newbie who has been captivated by Panerais since I first saw a catalog in 2000. Have a small collection. Admittedly don't know much about what makes watches tick, but I'm trying...
  14. Thanks for the post. You've just convinced me to do my next lume job with The Zigmeister :-)

I think it's a striking looking watch. Would love to see your pics. This is probably the first review of the BB I've seen anywhere...
  16. Don't know if I'm doing it right, but on my 177H I slightly turn the crown counter clockwise and then clockwise with a slight push and it goes right in. Then I use the lever. On my 063 and 092 I just use the lever if it doesn't go in with a slight push.
