  1. Get the seiko monster, thats my go to beater, amazing quality for the money and then later down the line he can mod it with the custom dials and hands that are so readily available
  2. all fakes apart from far left in last photo (full lume dial).
  3. wusmobile.com is the mobile version of watchuseek! very good!
  4. I wouldn't trust that site, stick to the dealers on the board here. If you email Narikka hes in Asia at the minute, and can probably source you one if they are available. Send him a pic and hope for the best
  5. I too would love to see a mobile site, is it a rep site your referring to henrik?
  6. I have the quartz rep and I would say that its the same as the 7750, about a 2mm thick caseback. It fits perfectly on my wrist!

    My New Gen

So Silent and such a smooth sweeping action, never owned Swiss before but I can't hear the thing tick even against my ear! Thats something the girlfriend appreciates, she can normally hear them ticking if I leave them on the bedside table, drives her potty! (I dont do it deliberatly...honestly!)

    My New Gen

The strap on it at the minute is quite heavily used by the last owner, a replacement OEM is $250! I guess its just me being picky but all I can imagine is some other guys sweat on me! If anyone knows where to get an aftermarket strap from I would be greatful! Its 19mm tapering to about 17mm and its really thin at the clasp end only 1mm I have found a site selling the black perforated strap for

    My New Gen

I really wanted the version without the date which is powered by a lemania handwind movement just like the 1964 version, but was twice as expensive! Do you know if it would be possible to get a 19mm hornback strap made, or do people think it wouldnt be the right look? Thanks
  10. It was my birthday on the 8th of Feb, I bought this beauty from Timezone. I will let the pictures do the talking! All in all a very good birthday! Can anyone recommend me a good strap? Ben
  11. Ken (Kenburg) on the forum will be able to help you out, look in the dealer section
  12. check out http://www.modenawatch.com for white rubber watch straps, I know they sell them but not sure if they have them in that style, at the minute they have an additional 30% off your order if you enter 2010 in the coupon box. but I normally get an email from them every month offering 20% with free spring toolbar! Enjoy
  13. Thanks tomhorn, but that would be my plan B if you cant buy the parts direct, does anyone know??
  14. Hi Everyone, I know that with an Omega watch if you bought an orange numeral PO and take it to an AD they can order you a Black numeral dial. Is this possible with Tag Heuer? Specifically the carrera re-issues with a date on them as seen here: http://www.watches.co.uk/watch.php?wid=8393S So just to clarify, take this white dial watch to an AD and ask them to put the black dial on it? Is it possible and how much would it cost? or should i keep my eyes open for the dial on the bay/ any other websites?? Thanks for any help
  15. Thanks for the replys everyone! @PeteM do you think it would be best to ship watch and papers seperately? That way watch can be marked as precision instrument @ full value with insurance and box and papers can be sent at minimal value with insurance for say $50? Surely if manufactures mark it as precision instrument the postal workers know this aswell and its just as likely to go missing?? TIA
  16. Hi, sorry to re-kindle a dead thread, but I have just bought a $900 gen watch from TZ and wanted to know the best way to avoid customs. The seller will either mark the package as a gift and label the package with lower value $36~ to try and avoid problems, but my concern is that if the package gets lost would I be able to claim the $900 back? Secondly I thought about marking the package as a watch being return for repair, my thinking being that it would avoid import charges as I could say it was bought in the UK and sent to the USA for repair, that way I could mark it at full value and be able to insure it at that cost. Or is it possible to mark the package at a low cost and still insure the watch at full value?? Many Thanks Ben
  17. what a gesture! Please count me in Good luck everyone
  18. Since reading this thread, I have gone out and bought an old school razor, that uses razor blades rather then disposable. Once my current shaving foam runs out I will be investing in a badger brush, and some nice shaving foam/gel. But to anyone on the fence about trying it old school, go for it, its so much smoother to shave, there is less snagging I have yet to cut myself and Im still using cheapo Shaving foam

  22. just had another look at wallets, and found these beauties that manage to say 'bad motha' fu*ker' without the need to stamp it across the front http://www.productdose.com/article.php?article_id=4093 and two more here that are nice http://www.ebags.com/hurley/brinx_bifold_wallet/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=108347 http://www.ebags.com/royce_leather/mens_two_fold_with_double_id_flap_metro_collection/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=72180
  23. J Fold will be my next wallet! check out their designs at http://www.jfold.com/ my favorite design is the Purple V Twelve Leather Wallet which im thinking of getting from: http://www.kjbeckett.com/acatalog/purple-v-twelve-leather-wallet-j-fold.html My only worry is that the wallets are made in america, and are probably too small of the £20 notes in England.... not something i thought of when i bought my current wallet in America.... so you might want to check the dimensions Ben
