  1. if no members have movements you're looking for you could source from a watch material supplier such as CousinsUK, Otto Frei, Jules Borel
  2. You need to be VIP to post things for sale ($9 for 3 months) The sales area is still active here but it's not as fast paced as other sites in my opinion
  3. When you say you've contacted eBay do you mean you've raised a claim or just sent an email to them? You need to raise a claim, if the seller doesn't respond to the claim then eBay step in and will review the case https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/how-to-help.html
  4. if it's ebay you should raise a claim via them not the carrier. You should be covered under their money back guarantee.
  5. I think somewhere like startime supply probably sell a 1:1 case back that would fit.. If not you've got phong, ruby watches that would be able to supply. Or even a genuine - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Rolex-Datejust-1601-Caseback-Year-70-Part-/154536726876?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 http://www.customwatchconcepts.com/product_info.php?products_id=17 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383145658971
  6. Watch isn't quartz, you can hear it winding it in the video. To get more than a day out of it wind it more/keep it worn to keep the rotor spinning. Sounds like the moon cycle and month wheel have been misaligned - a watchmaker in your country can sort that out. For reference - I bought a genuine perpetual calendar (montblanc) that was misaligned in a similar way, the month changed over on the 24th. I was the second owner and bought it from a high street dealer who had it fully inspected before sale - no one but me noticed so I wouldn't expect this to be perfect on a chinese rep. The day, if it's a working indicator will be changed from a recessed pusher on the side of the case most likely. I don't see a brown spot but did Andrew send you QC photos? You bought a rep watch - if you expect perfection prepare to be disappointed.
  7. Something smells phishy about that link
  8. Yes, they are your competitors. Good luck getting them to help you Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk
  9. One of the markers has fallen off the IWC - check out the first pic the marker at 10:00 has ended up on the bezel at 7:00 - be careful it doesnt scratch the dial...
  10. Don't think so, with Tudor the model names were reversed
  11. this watch just doesnt do it for me I'm afraid. I love the bronze LE though and Oris are really hitting the ball out the park with their other models such as the 'Bico'
  12. I have signed up for this service a few days ago and just got an email from them offering free physical cards for friends and family if anyone wants one just drop me a PM
  13. The dial doesn't look great, low quality printing, also I think that model is only available in white gold. Don't think it's real I'm afraid Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
  14. Phong all the way, unless you want to go Gen. There's a NOS on chrono24 for around £1.5k if I remember correctly Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
  15. Damn that's looking good If you're set on blue let me know as I'll buy the dial and insert when you've got replacements. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
  16. Really looking forward to seeing these pan out. I've got a hankering for a 9411 too so will be looking for hints and tips. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
  17. Hi Has anyone heard if the rep factories plan of prepping the non skeleton dial version of the Heuer 01? It comes on a bracelet which is a big draw for me, the rubber straps make the watch too casual, whereas I think steel can be worn casually or more formally Check out the pic attached Regards
  18. I think the main problem is that the cases are so complex that it is too hard for the rep companies to do it well enough
  19. I remember my friend having a U-boat when they first got released, he was something to do with the UK distributor, it was a quartz watch. Back then I thought they looked like a flash in the pan fashion brand, but they are still here and seem to be doing well, wish I had taken up his offer for cheap one.
  20. I would be a bit cautious, considering how tight the ETA movements are controlled it would be costly for helenarou to get them, especially new meaning if they are ETA they are likely second hand and in need of a service. The Asian movements are considered really good and I would recommend not spending the extra I could be wrong, but hope that helps Ben
  21. Have you heard about Erkahund on ebay? He makes cases for lots of watch companies, I know that Tourby Watches and a couple of other watch houses use his stuff. Anyway he is now releasing his own stuff in small batches, If I ever want a vintage sub again I htink I would go for this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&hash=item45f8903d0b&item=300522945803&nma=true&pt=DE_Kleidung_Schmuck_Accessoires_Uhren_Armbanduhren&rt=nc&si=5yMkaJDLtndAyncuue4NaaJpSB4%253D
  22. I have figured it out for myself, Now got the ETA datewheel in the watch and not going to take it off for a while!
