I'm trying to find the other detailed thread on this contamination of the crystal, so far only found this one below, but will add more as and when I find it as it details some quite interesting info, and examination macro photos.
what the hell
I have read other similar threads/posts on this contamination of the DSSD crystals, even one of our modders examined one, and found that the contamination was inside the crystal itself, not on the underside. Obviously there was a bad batch where the crystals were made in poor air/room conditions.
I forget who it was, possibly Wiz, or KeNny?
Lovely day then in the end Some nice watches, and from the parts I see, you are building a Tona I love the Daytona models, and plan on getting the troubled sec@6 model in black, and white, then getting the extra jewels added with the Domi experience
I am totally in love with the white stick dial Tudor Tiger, and have to have one, so once I have completed my watch tool, and equipment investments, I will be saving up for the gen of it.
Indeed Mike lol. I am happy with the tool kit, but on items of such weight, and bulk like the timegrapher, water resistance tester, ultrasonic cleaner etc I would get stung heavily with shipping from Aus, so its a no brainer really why I chose elsewhere for those.
Save your money mate, and get enough so you can get everything you want/need. For some inspiration, check my thread over on the other RWG linked below.. Check both pages as updated complete list to date is on page 2.

Big Rolex fan here, but also like to wet my feet occasionally with other brands. Tag Heuer is one, I love the history behind Heuer, and the Tag transition.
Yes, your bank account will start to see much more action mate from now on
The AF Swiss screwdrivers are ideal, and very good quality, I highly recommend them.
Bergeon is also best for your springbar tool as Mike recommended too, the cheap Chinese/Indian crap breaks very easily, and defeats their purpose.
If you feel brave, its doable yourself, and there are guides to help you through it too. If not, send it to Mark, or Alex, Mark in Holland, Alex in UK.
