  1. Cheers guys, currently waiting for my parts to clear customs here in Finland. Looks like I may need to pay some duty on them, but we will see. As to this build, I will be posting a lot of eye candy for you all, including a series of side by side comparison posts/photos, gen vs rep.
  2. Has this new url been updated in the TD section?
  3. Working for me http://silix-prime.so My ISP blocks Yuki's site for some reason, sucks.
  4. Welcome to the forums You will find 99.9% of reps are of Chinese origin. Lets see some photos of your reps, and lets see if we can guess the models/factory for you
  5. Talking of celebs, I have been chatting to Luke Goss on twitter about his favourite brand, and he loves his Rolexes.
  6. Holy crap! You get through watches like I do socks lol. Seriously some nice watches you have had. You appear to regret selling most of them, if not all. You should of kept them all my friend.
  7. Thanks, the devil is in the detail for sure.
  8. Cheers will do, need to get my Diver first though. Or...
  9. Looking forward to getting my V3.5 Diver for sure. Does donerix do waterproof leather?
  10. Holy cow! Wow, that is superb my friend, and great macro photos. Its a thing of beauty. Now a dumb question, so forgive me, which engravings on the case plate did Marlin perform, was it the ETA logo, and serial/model number?
  11. Welcome aboard, and greetings from a fellow Nordic, an Englishman living in the land of Suomi
  12. My new TC that I ordered the other day is waiting on the DWO V3, which I'm told will be available around 15th of this month.
  13. Yep, mine is awaiting the DWO V3 too. Should have the sub by the end of this month. Had confirmation payment received last night, and that Cannon Pinion #4 is on the TC 2824 too.
  14. Ok, when viewing a members profile, if you click on POSTS on the left panel, this will only give you a summary. To get full list of posts click on FIND CONTENT to the right hand side of the profile page, there are a few buttons/options. Then once you do this, you can filter by posts/topics etc with the other clickable option buttons.
  15. I noticed this when I was looking for a specific post/information I recalled a member had shared here. I did figure out how to get the full list eventually. Give me a minute or three, and I will try it again, and report back on what I did exactly.
  16. Sounds like an awfully long time to have to wait in all honesty. There's patience, and then there's a line where this runs out with anyone over a period of testing time. I hope all ends well for you my friend, I know how you feel though, been in several similar situations.
  17. Looks good my friend. Your case lugs just need finishing, and thats beauty. Don't you just love frankening?
  18. Welcome to RWG, to learn more, you need to read all the valuable info within this very forum
  19. Thats just it, I am unsure if the gen crown and gen pushers will fit, but only one way to try, right Another thing to mention about Tag Heuer, and this Calibre 16 7750 ETA. Tag now have the Cal 1887, which is an old SEIKO movement that they bought the patents for and then modified, they are killing off the Calibre 16 (ETA 7750). They have just announced a new Carrera version like mine, but with a ceramic bezel and the cal 1887. It has lost the day function, but looks much the same. Tag Heuer are owned by LVMH who we do business with from time to time and I have been promised staff discount (which has never materialised). LVMH also own Zenith so I think TAG will be looking to go down the El Primero route on the higher end watches. Thanks to my friend, Craig over on RWI who is quite knowledgable about Tag Heuer, and shared the above with me recently. I have to admit, after watching many of Jack Heuers videos, and reading interviews, I am starting to have passion for the Brand. They started off on the wrong foot, but they are up there with many of the big names now.

    Only 45.5 afaik.
  21. The Gen locally here in Finland costs around €4500+ EDIT - Just checked the bay of flees, and my model can be snapped up for just under €2700 NEW here So all in all, with the cost of my rep Carrera originally, plus the cost of gen parts, I'm still well below half that lowest price for a gen, but its not all about money here, I really enjoy the hobby I share with many others who franken their reps, its damn addictive, but for filling at the same time
  22. Cheers guys, quite excited. Still no word from Thomas yet to let me know he got my paypal payment ok, but I'm still confident, and know he's ultra busy.
  23. Cheers Mike, will do, loads of photos, many macro too. If anyone wants close up photos of any specific areas of my TC, I would be happy to help.
