    Congrats on the opening being available to you. Hope it's everything you wish for. I'm slowly getting back into the watch game after several years break, and currently building up my tools, and equipment for this hobby. Oh and of course, reading lots, and lots.

    Sounds like you need to find a better watch smith, as this once sounds lazy to me.

    That dial looks very similar to my old Eddie Lee LV Sub. Your CG's are also very similar, so I'm wondering if we have the same case set. What numbers are stamped on the case in between the lugs? As mine has an ETA Swiss 2836-2 fitted.

    Welcome to RWGF, of course you can franken it, there are others that have replaced various parts for gen, so just search around for the specific posts/threads which should contact part numbers, and sources etc.

    Remove crystal with a crystal press, renew gasket, or use water proof clean sealant then use crystal press to refit.

    I have the Asian 2813-2 Automatic Movement in my sub from TT, and on the timegrapher it was showing 21600 Beat Rate, and the sweep is much more jumpy that my swiss etc 2836-2's sweep for sure.

    Bloody hell Mark, thats awful news, and as you say, timing could not of come at a more inconvenient for you, and your current position. I wish I could help with your request, but sadly I cannot, however, I think Mike is onto something there with regards taking on European members watch work, services, modding etc, it would at least, as Mike says, bring some money into the house.

    Congrats on the little one mate. Nano Tech, got a link to their product you recommend mate? Cheers mate, I am a little confused as to how this gear is removed also, does the central pin come out? By looking at the size of the central pin head, its bigger than the hole in the cog... If that central pin is removed to remove said cog, then franscisco has obviously refitted it in the above photo?

    Thanks for this tutorial, its a shame some of your photos are no longer displaying however. I really could do with seeing how a couple of those gears held in by buttons are released.

    The only way to locate the leak for sure is to use a water resistant tester, but of course removing the movement first, then replacing screw in crown and case back. Pressurise the equipment after hanging your watch, then once up to say 6bar, slowly release pressure, whilst submerging watch case into the water, and locate where the bubbles are coming from.

    LOL, even if one refrains from using the chronograph, the sec@6 is still in constant use. What is I hear about adding graphite grease to the offending gearing?

    Cheers for chiming in guys, really appreciate it. I guess I will have to play Lotto then as I love the look of Sec@6. I did have one back in 2004, and that was quite reliable, never gave me any issues for the year or so I owned it. As you say, its the luck of the draw I guess, and getting the 7750 serviced and well oiled right away can only be a positive, and needed move to the longevity of the watch.
