  1. Sorry to hear Matt, its the likes of that [censored] I created a blacklist to protect myself, which is full of all those who have slandered me, or wasted my time, whenever I receive a pm, or email from any of the usernames, or emails on my blacklist, I have great pleasure completely ignoring them period!!

  3. Is that the £25k gen you got Andy? Not my cuppa, but interesting nevertheless mate. DSC06792.JPG by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  4. They should do, but you may need to convince our community of your trustworthiness, for example, do you have any references, or known feedback on the other fora?
  5. Reading what the op has said, and found myself shaking my head, sounds like your watchmaker is not as hybrid a repairer as us rep experts.
  6. And there you have it, straight from the horses mouth. I knew with almost certainty that this was the case, but so so many people keep on saying that we on the various forums are only a minority of customers, so thank Toro for speaking up and setting the record straight and put those rumours to bed.

  8. Odd fir sure, thanks for pm, removed my name.
  9. Will try that now, I didn't realise that was a clickable option. Well I tried that and got this.. When I click on the 0.00 paypal fee, it directs to the paypal homepage.
  10. Starting to wonder if Finland has had the gift option removed, I know the terms and conditions changed recently. This is what I am seeing when switching to classic view, and making a payment. After clicking the option highlighted red, I get this.. Then selecting pay for goods or services Enter the amount And then finally, this below, no option anywhere during this process is a gift option. pp4 by Micky
  11. No, web interface on my iMac using Safari.
  12. When I get time, I will take some screenshots, its really odd, I have looked all over, theres just no option as gift.
  13. Are you seeing the new interface though, their new look ?
  14. Anyone know whats happened to the paypal gift option? Since their new look on the web interface, when I'm sending a payment, I cannot select gift option. Bloody annoying. Anyone know how to send a gift payment with this new look?
  15. Possibly gen, but the rotor is Asian.
  16. Indeed, plus when working with watches, its best to be completely focused, and in the right frame of mind. Its been a stressful time working on the car, not only frustrating trying to find the fault, but with the wife not being happy about the car being off the road is also stressful. having to walk to the store with a sledge is what she's been having to do, the post office is a few km's, so been making every other day visits to collect packages instead of daily collections.
  17. Your not wrong there mate. Its been a mission, had to join online Saab forums to get some help as I was unfamiliar with the ignition set up of this model, and its DIC system. Direct Ignition Cassette.
  18. If you have a watch with me right now, or shipped your watch to me, please rest assured I am still here, just been very busy repairing our family car, with temperatures hitting -31 degrees here recently, we found our cars block heater had failed, and thus unable to start the car to use it. I have now repaired this, but the attempt to start the car whilst it was frozen has caused a knock-on-effect, and now will not start at all even with the block heater heating the engine coolant prior to starting. DSC05825.JPG by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr I have been working outdoors in far from ideal conditions, using a heat gun to keep my hands warm whilst investigating the problem. I have discovered after eliminating several things that the issue with our car is the CPS, aka Crank Positioning Sensor, so have ordered one, and will fit when it arrives. In the meantime I will be back at the workbench tomorrow morning, and will follow up on any emails received during this time I have been busy freezing my nuts off lol Thanks for your patience.
  19. Got your pm I will be back at work tomorrow, so will respond to all emails then my friend.
  20. This process is more or less based on your experience, and feel for what you are actually doing, for example, ETA 28XX movements I remove the stem in manual wind position, whereas 7750/3 ETA in time setting position. After you have done this thousands of times, you get a feel for the components, and what they are doing from the feedback of the crown.
  21. Very difficult to rid a gloss dial of surface scratches I'm afraid.
  22. First my order was delayed with cousins due to a part being out of stock, and now they have restricted the parts I paid for, 2 x crowns, and 2 x tubes for a customers franken builds. Sucks. Swatch Parts Restrictions in force by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
