  1. I have your envelope here already, been meaning to email you P.
  2. I was banned for "Self Promotion" when in truth all I was doing was notifying my customers of my impending bereavement, my mother was dying, I posted a public announcement that I was heading to the UK, and I got banned for it. I was told I had ignored several warnings, but I didn't receive a single warning via PM.
  3. Welcome to the RWI banned club You shouldn't of let your Brother use your account to be fair, sorry but thats something you should not do, and now you know why but in a terrible way, your Brother took advantage of you.
  4. Hi guys, I will be winding things down here starting from tomorrow, this is due to an upcoming move on the 23rd of this month. Not looking forward to it one bit, but needs must. The apartment I work from is over a Century in age, and as such its in need of renovation, this renovation work will last six months or so. During this time, I will still be working, in the same town, but a different address, so please take note, and don't ship anything to my address you currently have on file. Don't worry though, if you do, I have already completed the redirect forms for our local post office just in case. The temporary apartment is much smaller than my current one, so my workload will be reduced so to offer the same level of service and turnaround times. Thanks for your continued support. Micky.!
  5. Well done, worth the effort!
  6. Using the correct cut-off type bladed screwdriver helps too.
  7. I have some of the silver ones.
  8. New clone movement prices have increased slightly recently too. No idea why my text was small above ^^
  9. There are other options for you, 2846 movements come up often, and used ETA movements, these can be either good once serviced, or stripped down for parts to bring back to life other ETA movements. Myself and other modders can convert the likes of a 2824/2836/34 to low beat using 2846 balance, escapement, and pallet fork.
  10. Lucky for me I have managed to buy 10 new ETA movements recently before the price hikes, and yes JMB, repair prices will increase, and increase more over time once stocks have run out completely.
  11. Sadly it means you and I will either have to cough up the extortionate price hikes, or indeed go for clones. Swiss ETA Movement Pricehike by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  12. Its been on the cards for quite a while now, and there's many petitions about online to ask them to reconsider. The likes of myself, and other independent Service Providers, and Watchmakers are really screwed by this.
  13. That sounds like what I come across almost weekly these days, its as if someone has literally sprayed WD40 run there thinking its done, and a good thing lol
  14. Crazy, and something that cannot be compared to reps, nothing ever goes straight forward with servicing, or anything else for that matter. Today, I have serviced two 7750, and three 2824-2 movements. Ok, stripped them down, and put them through my Elma watch parts cleaner, tomorrow they will be reassembled.
  15. I have a few customers in Canada, if you don't mind shipping to Europe pm me, providing you follow my strict shipping instructions, customs won't be an issue.
  16. Thanks for those, more interested in the problem in hand with this particular movement so I can advise.
  17. Just replied in your duplicated thread, guessing Tapatalk to blame?
  18. Very nice mate, I have one of these latest JF models to come, rejected first QC as the factories tried to pull a fast one, the watch was not from the JF factory. Wear it well mate. I'm sporting my SD4000 Untitled by Micky Aldridge, on Flickr
  19. Can you detail the issue you are experiencing with this movement?
  20. As above, or, if the auto wind bridge has actually come off the movement along with the rotor still attached, this is a little more tricky for someone unsure of what they are doing as you can cause damage to the gear teeth if screwed down incorrectly.
  21. Looks like the item is sold out, or the listing has been removed?
