  1. No personal experience with Josh, but recently experienced similar, a watch from another TD was caught at customs in China, and returned to sender. Strange.
  2. Poor wildlife will be wiped out too, is there nobody rescuing these helpless creatures of beauty?
  3. They sure are different thats for sure. Not keen myself.
  4. Damn, thats awful, wishing them well with the evacuation.
  5. Just like watches themselves, movements are also replicated to look like ETA movements, the replica stampings are of poorer quality, and have nowhere near the clarity of the genuine Swiss stampings. Plus, there are other subtle differences/tells too.
  6. If the modder who did this used too little water, or even too little water when mixing with the Annitas paint it can indeed cause the paint to be too soft, and not hard as nails < This is how it should be when mixed right. The modder also needs to shake the bottle quite hard so the internal mix of paints are fused together otherwise when pouring out the paint, one or the other will come out, not all/mix. I know the above from experimenting, and learning the hard way with Annitas
  7. Thats usually a case of the bezel assembly components being worn, or the shim/washer too flat.
  8. Thanks for clarifying this, as I have had a few head scratching moments myself regarding these 8mm crowns.
  9. This is so sad to hear, I will certainly be sending something, thoughts go out to Alvin at this very difficult time.
  10. T`o save you time, and headache, get someone locally to take a look for you, if may have some dirt/hairs in there.
  11. Yup, dial has come away from the movement.
  12. The pearl is the least of your problems. Your OMEGA font is wrong, and your Omega LOGO has happy feet.
  13. I'm also in EU, Finland, drop me a pm, and I will get you booked in for the repair.
  14. It looks stained, or tarnished. You could try cleaning it up with some impregnated wet wipes, these don't have any harmful chemicals in, so arte safe to try.
  15. It does sound like its a simple case of refitting the hands so they don't catch one another etc. You would be best to find a local watchmaker to do this, its a quick repair, and would save you the headache returning it to China as you would be without your watch for a couple of months. NL, is that Holland, or are you Stateside?
  16. They can be fine, Chinese GMT gears are quite a clever add on.
  17. Really? It looks terrible lol
  18. I don't believe thats a TC case due to the rehaut engravings, and lug stampings. Looks like a piece of crap.
  19. Asian 2836-2 decorated bridges. The rotor retaining screw is hidden under the small flat round piece of metal, which is held in place with double sided tape.
  20. My ban stated it will never be lifted. Their loss mate, our gain here.
