Thanks for the actual name, do you have a link to that reference?
As to parts being interchangeable, I have found the following are not interchangeable..
Stem
Rotor/bearing
Auto wind Bridge
Date wheel
Certainly something that don't belong in there. It don't look like some lume that has come away from the dial. Obviously yu would need to open the watch up to remove it.
If it has snapped off, its easy enough to gain access to that area without removing the dial and hands. You can access it from the rear by removing the ratchet wheel bridge.
I make my own nylon gaskets to hold the bezel assembly, you can use a crystal gasket, but you need to find the right size to stretch over the retainer, or cut the crystal gasket to the correct thickness.
I have found similar instances too mate via google, shocking. In my case, the battery swollen up, and effected the track pad physical click, this is working fine now the battery is removed, so all being well, will be back to normal when the replacement battery arrives
You know what mate, you were right. I am now back on my Mac without its battery fitted, I didn't think it would work, but it does. Brilliant. I'M BACK!
Sent from my iPhone sitting on the loo. Damn where did my reply go.
Thanks mate, luckily I have now managed to add my work email on my phone, so all good now, just a pita typing with a big finger and a tiny screen lol

The movement comes out from the front on these. You need to remove the bezel and crystal after removing the movement clamps.
Its certainly the case for the A7750 model.
