  1. Loving that Mike, really like the crystal shape.!
  2. Whenever I come across a gritty feel crown/tube, I remove the stem, and clean the tube thread with a toothbrush, and then rodico. The crown I blast out with compressed air. Then I grease the tube thread, and refit the crown, and usually its then butter smooth. You would be surprised at the dirty tube threads from the factory!
  3. Me too, but we all have our own preferences, I extract the stem in wind position on the 28XX series.
  4. Sounds like you may need the date wheel overlay realigning.
  5. Fixen from Sweden? Not heard from him in quite a while.
  6. Welcome aboard, I'm not a young pup either @ 44 almost, but I'm young at heart
  7. I have stopped recommending Ryan an in time, he used to be good for supplying parts, but each, and every time I have approached his, he fails to be able to source what I want. So to has Angus of Puretime. Shame.
  8. Here's my results, before and after using polywatch on a Swatch `windfall plastic crystal.. Before: The light scratches on the plastic crystal result is a fog look, and stops the dial from showing its full detail. Couple of small blobs of Polywatch onto the plastic crystal, working it over the entire surface, then using cotton wool, work alloying pressure in a circular motion, then up down, left and right for a few minutes. Here's the result... The dial POPS now
  9. Welcome to the community. Be sure to check out our Trusted Dealers, and what they have to offer, then, take a look at Western Union, and how it works, familiarise yourself with it, register an online account, as it will be needed with the TD's.
  10. 208 posts in 5 years says something to me mate. You really should build a relationship with the community here.
  11. Ok, there are a few watchmakers/modders in the US you can try.

  13. The crown screws onto the stem, and can be removed. Why do you think you need new? Whats the problem you are experiencing?
  14. Welcome aboard Thomas, hello from Finland
  15. Have you tried looking at the forums moderating team list and messaging them, or one of them?
  16. I've since acquired one, and love it, superb quality. I treated it to a genuine bracelet
  17. Awesome collection you must have. Love that IWC.
  18. Watched your video, and agree, thats not right.
  19. What value is the watch? If a cheapie, then the tolerances are nowhere near the more expensive, accurate reps, if expensive, then you should be covered, and the TD will resolve. If not, contact a mod.
  20. Can't see any dust, but the crown looks crooked, did you have any tube work done?
  21. I have modded many watches. The owners do the leg work in finding out what fits, and what don't, then they source the parts, and send me their watches, and parts to mod. Its not the watchmakers job to find out compatibility and source the parts, this is the owners responsibility. That said, I have undertaken some modding where I have been asked to do EVERYTHING, including the above mentioned, and obviously this time and effort is charged on the final price quoted.
