  1. Congrats on the tools brother! Looking very similar to my collection. I still need to add a few other things, and finally some equipment too, then Im ready to rock and roll full time
  2. That my friend would be awesome, look forward to hearing from you!
  3. RE; The crown, the o-ring is inside the crown itself, look with a loupe. Strange how only the start pusher rotates, I will investigate this further.... If the rep pushers simply slide into a sleeve pushed into the case holes, I can't see this passing my water resistance testing when I get my equipment. Of course I will remove my Gen movement before doing so. I will document the progress on my gen pushers, as I have a donor case on its way to me soon to experiment on I was thinking the same too about tap, and die, but will see what the measurements are with that pressed in sleeve are first. I am also going to document on the removal, and replacement of the bezel/insert on the rep. I am on the look out for a gen case, but rocking horse poo.
  4. Congrats Ceejay mate, I told you that you would love it Great job on the Chronograph hand correction, and that really tricky pusher retainer c-clip. Which pusher was it? My start pusher can be rotated in situ, but the reset pusher is fixed. Did you notice how the pusher actually slotted into the case? Were there and visible threads seen in the case holes? As you know I have a pair of gen pushers which I would love to fit too, and if there is a thread in the case, this may save me some time. Give me a shout when you want your genuine parts, and I will put a good word in for you Surprised your rep crown don't have a o-ring in it, mine did, and of course my gen does, and gives it a nice tight fit on the non-screw down tube.
  5. Welcome to RWG Mike, where abouts in Austria are you? I have friends in Vienna and Innsbruck.
  6. Nice, I plan on getting one, then getting Domi to add the extra jewels needed to make it reliable.
  7. Thats great to hear. Which model you get? Sec@6?
  8. I plan on removing my insert from my CVA210 Carrera as one of my letters is missing a bit. My search via google has only resulted in me finding others looking for help, and even one guy on WUS saying there is no insert, and that its the bezel that is painted, but I find this hard to believe seeing as many retailers are selling snap in inserts. There are cheaper ones, which need to be glued in place, so my advice is go for the higher quality that snap into place like the gen. This is what a reputable outlet has stated.
  9. Thanks, indeed they do. I believe TC will be working on a more gen like bezel with sharper teeth soon too, which should make things interesting.
  10. Superb! Looks amazing, and good on you for following the inspiration that the press release gave you, respect.! Is the bezel a Seans, or did you replace that for gen to go with your gen insert?
  11. I echo the above Looks aged too, very nice.
  12. Lets hope its still there when you go to pick it up, and not back on the merry go round.
  13. Came across the link below over on TRF, and thought I would share with you all as its a really interesting site, and all about watches, the parts, the passion, and, well, you get the point, its a great resource of info into the inner workings of all kinds of watches, not just Rolexes. http://hiro.alliancehorlogere.com/en/index.php?title=Main_Page Enjoy, oh, check the section called, Under the Loupe.
  14. As Freddy says. I and a few other members shared the PDF The Submariner Story not that long ago, I would recommend you search, and download it, its full of really helpful identification comparison photos, showing years etc.
  15. I will be upgrading when I get back from our vacation. I promise
  16. In that case then it sounds like the gear is not catching, so could be a simple case of reseating it, or a sign of more damage. Best get it looked at my friend.
  17. Try turning the hands manually via the crown clockwise until the date clicks over. It maybe that when the hands were fitted, they were not correctly set at 12am. For an example, a watch I have changes the day/date at 3am lol.
  18. Superb Thomas, looks spot on Looking forward to getting my order end of this month.
  19. Thanks for the update, look forward to your report.
  20. Welcome aboard my friend, the great community here is second to none
  21. If you want the best then you need to step up and pay more imo, the TC Sub is currently the best you can get, however, if your budget is not up to par for the TC, then you can't go wrong with the Cr Sub most dealers have. All you need to do is correct a few flaws and your good to go.
  22. Domi is in the EU and is the only guy I know who can add the extra jewels to the sec@6.
