Where are Trusty Time based? I noticed your parcel has royal mail labels on it? 

Sounds like the stem could be ever so slightly too long, and during your time wearing it, the movement may of moved slightly, exaggerating the problem.

Is there a quick fix for this or do I need to remove the whole movement etc?

I've also been advised it may be in a bind. 

Asian ETA sounds so strange, what crazy terminology the dealers use. Is it an ASIAN 2836??

 

Faulty movements is a pain in the as. bad luck.

 

Not sure what the problem is with you movement, but you have to send it to service or retur it to the dealer. No easy fix me thinks.

I've had the new diver v 4.1 Asian eta for over 2 weeks now and recently the second hand just randomly stops. If I pull the crown out it starts working again but sometimes stops again when I screw it back in. Any idea what's happening?

Yes your V4.1 bezel screws look quite good and similarly repressed. Lets see if i ever get my V4, sead is as slow as molasses in responding.

I'd honestly try Toro, I literally have back an forth email convos with him even with the massive time difference, he's very on the ball. Offers an almost "personal" service I've made 3 purchases off him in the space of two weeks. His shipping time is also very good 3 days from china which is pretty much unheard of. I've used Sead as he sometimes he has stock in the UK which is super useful for me (as I live in the UK) but as you mentioned the responses aren't the most rapid, but I guess thats the game!

lugs/connectors go into the case...is this a trademark of the V4?

It looks good! Bezel markers look aligned (I think V4 maker has been very consistent with this, arguably better than Noobs). In regards to the lug connectors its a tricky one, that all depends on how you're holding the watch, when the watch is on wrist, they should be raised out of the case I didn't notice that on my V4 as an issue to be honest. 

I think in hand you wont be disappointed with it. You really have to give credit where due to this maker considering this is their first version of the watch.

Although their is a mark on the 4 marker urgh!! The bezel alignment is fantastic, lume application is acceptable and best of all the bezel screws actually looked slightly recessed. The fabric at the 1 o clock bezel screw has been removed. I'm lightly dubious about the hr hand considering its a noob version but hey. A rep is a rep 

So it is not good at all this V4 it seems. What a shame. I need to take a look at this hour hand, how could that be messed up?

 

here is two different V4 i was offered...seems hour hand differs?

 

First V4 with poor lume application (at higer mag)

 

 

Second V4 inferior U in PIGUET (at higer mag)

 

(I like that Pam-esk case protector BTW)

The main issue with the hour hand is the spacing of the lume the "polished bars" that separate the lume into three sections within the hour hand should be thinner, Noob has had it right from the jump. 

Once you notice it (after looking at a gen) it will bug you! trust me! 

Below is a QC pic i received today from toro which shows the (almost) correct thickness within the hr hand. BUT!  Is it just me or does the "3" not look as good as V3 and V3.5 I will most certainly be requesting a date wheel to change at a later stage. I actually rejected this version as the bezel alignment is off.

Hmmm, interesting, so where does the reflection come from of the hands, the one I saw wasn't a solid matte like that...

Thanks for your responses guys, I actually managed to make it down to bond street London this weekend (equivalent to Rodeo drive for the Americans) I was able to have a peek at one at watches of Switzerland. The dial doesn't look matte at all, its some what glossed but no where near matte or the equivalent! If there is a big difference in "dial gloss" (just made that one up) then the differences are unnoticable I was able to see a sub and gmt master in the same window it was very difficult to tell the difference in dial colour between the three.

I'm actually going to go for the black dialled version based on this, does anyone know any "black dial issues" I need to be looking out for in my qc pics, other than the usual alined date wheel, alined rehaut. 

I think no one ever said it is supposed to be matte, but that the noob dial was to glossy. And that it should be more matte, or less glossy;-) just what you like to hear

Correct me if I'm wrong, I've read a few reviews on the explorer II black dial (noob) a few people have said the white is more accurate as the black dial should be matte, but looking at real life gen pics as well as videos and the dial looks glossy... 

The image shows the reflection from the dial beneath the hands, there are plenty other pics from that website that show this also... I have just purchased a white dial noob but contemplating changing my order to the black. HELP?!?!?

Depends on the model. Precious Time and Toro do have some Noob models very cheap but they do not have the SuperLumed dial and hands. And these models do not give you the possibibility to change rep parts for genuine.

I had started to wonder why puretimes noob was more expensive that Toro's if they are exactly the same watch... I'm still contemplating pulling the trigger on the one just released by puretine!
