  1. As it's being sold by Cartel dealers it can't be Noob, I don't know if they sell JF watches? H Factory perhaps?
  2. http://www.ttw8888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_288&products_id=13536 http://www.pf-818.com/ap01108-royal-diver-auto-p-17586.html
  3. My intention this year is to get a FC Diver then mod it with the Tissot movement etc. This new release called the "Lite" version with miyota movement is $100 cheaper than the A2824 version. As I don't need the movement this seems like the way to go. Anyone in the know care to comment on the rest of the watch, is downgraded in any other areas apart from the movement?
  4. Pretty sure the 1675 & 1655 are still available.
  5. That's got to be the perfect environment for a fat bike, I bet you have some fun out there on that! Little rings on mine driving big wheels, mines a 29er. I'm pretty impressed with it, since I made the change from 26" wheels
  6. My ride for this year, 5 months old with 1074 miles on the clock & 45,000' of climbing
  7. Listing says "could be a redial" I don't think you will get a refund.
  8. I was reading just yesterday over RWI that RA is now recommending getting the Cartel 1675 rather than the 1655 as a base. He states they are the same mid case As was mentioned above, the spec from the base watches suggests that there is a 2mm difference. My spec would/is Cartel 1655 Clarks bezel assembly (Gary Clark is a gent to deal with) Clarks crystal Yuki dial (come back Ingod44!!) Raffle times hands and flat caseback Riyi bracelet 5.3mm crown (that's my opinion ) Gen spec spring bars Case mods: Re-shape crown guards drilled lug holes for gen spec bars (this is a hard job!) Bevels cut on the lugs.
  9. Best wishes to you and your family Micky. Very kind and thoughtful AJ, very kind.
  10. Hourly[emoji41] Q: has your partner ever stuck their finger up your bum? Sent from my iBend 6
  11. Q: Do you ever remember glancing at your watch on your wrist, admiring it, and totally not seeing what time it was?
  12. You absolute [censored] of the highest degree.
  13. Spacing on the dial letters is too tight?
  14. You superstar! Very kind & generous, thank you.
  15. More jewels is better, right! It was all the rage in the old days to put more and more jewels in to attract the customers, after all, more jewels is better, right! Well the Chinese have have followed suit, 5 extra jewels in a 7750 that has just came out of my Ultrasonic cleaner. Here they are... There is a tiny issue though...They weren't actually attached to anything, just rattling about inside the movement. Not really doing anything apart from threatening to stop the movement. But I do appreciate the 'extra' added value they have P.S. That is a grain of rice for scale!!
  16. Have the swan neck reshaped as well if it's the 6497-2, not a lot needs doing, but it makes all the difference
  17. No, there is a little lathe work involved.
  18. Zippitydodahhh, zippityday my oh my what wonderful day
  19. Nice, nice , nice! If you put a gen 7753 in then there is a quick and easy (for a competent watch smith) manual wind conversion. It isn't a bodge neither, it's the proper method and involves removing the autowind mechanism and putting in a genuine ETA/Valjoux manual wind bridge that is available from Cousins UK etc. There are 2 (?) manual wind versions of the 77-- movement, Valjoux 7760/7765. Keep it thin
  20. "I've worked out a deal with a fella and I'm going to deliver it to him Monday morning" Bang...bang...bang. I'm so numb I can't even feel my cranium colliding with the wall Oh well, I'm sure he will have enough cash for a couple of KFC bargain buckets and a long weekend at a posh spa.
  21. Josh is a TD here.
  22. DWO = Date Wheel Overlay PCG = Pointed Crown Guard C&R = Catch & Release, to buy something and immediately sell it on. DSSD = DeepSea Sea Dweller ROC = Rolex Oyster Cosmograph
  23. I'm servicing a Felsa 1560 Bidynator.
  24. Reading this intently. I haven't bought a rep from a TD for a long time but this is going to be it. Am I right in thinking the Tissot Powermatic 80 is the movement to drop into this? If so is it a straight forward drop in or will a custom ring be needed? Thanks for all this info Legend.
  25. Plenty of skelotonised movements out there, as long as it doesn't affect the running or structural integrity then I would drill away. Sent from my iBend 6
