  1. you guys mean the mix of the titanium on the back plate with the SS? i personally see a lot of mixed materials on lots of watches.. exemple most of the ap's montoya etc are half carbon half metals..

and in the worst case cenario ill still have the original back plate

  2. Ok, here's two for starters.

Tudor Black Bay, can be had for £1700 on bracelet from Italy.

And whilst looking through the Basel 2012 report on WUS, I saw this Aviator Professional Chronograph

    PVD loveliness! :)

I can't find it on sale anywhere, but supposed to be between $1000 and $1999.

wow i love that swisstime aviator! nice find! i hope you get it for chrismas! :)

  3. I have some expert questions to ask

I would like to add the back case (see through) of the AP Royal Oak Diver TITANIUM to a AP Royal Oak Diver v5

will it be compatible and who (what TD) would be able to sell a back case seperatly do you think?

Thanks! really looking forward to this!

  4. this watch is gorgeous.......

actually,,,IMO,,,some of the older stuhrlings were great catches.....there was a highly unlikely story that the same person who makes Frank Muller dials also made dials for stuhrling...In any case,,,some of their dials are pretty cool...I have this one on today by chance...

That's a flying tourbillon isn't it? That's actually more pricy than most replicas our members own lollll. I think it's pretty. How does it run? How long have you had it for?

  5. Hi everyone

so i very much fell in love with the SS/RU version of the AP royal Oak Diver (v3.5 or v5)

untill... i found the TITANIUM version... which i DO NOT like the face but LOVE the see through glass and golden rotor...

Is there any way this can be moded? and who could supply this (either the parts or the finished product)

    Thanks! :)

I hope to wear this in the next couple months

  7. Hi everyone, i was wondering if there was a list of things to do when buying a new replica..

Now i thought i knew a lot about buying replicas from reading the forums, but unfortunately i had never read posts about people selling their replicas before.. and this is where i got confused

Most people are saying the following which is making me doubt if i should buy from a dealer.. or mildley used from a member

1- most member post with *serviced watch* (do watches u buy from TD need to be serviced before using?)

2- Reset of chrono is mint (sometimes the reset is off correct? what can be done so this doesn'T happen)

3- Crown has tube and screws in perfectly (what do i do if mine doesn't and what does a tube mean?)

4- Straps tube (tubes again? im confused)

5- Relumed (are most lumes bad? i know most of my watches need direct light focused on them to have a good glow for a couple hours.. do most of them act like this? and are there better lumes? i used to have an army compas with INSANE lume.. without putting a light focus on it but i think it was bio hazard i dont know the chemical used

So yeah.. these points are making me wonder if i should be better buying from someone who has already put the effort into doing this (and i have no horlogery area in my place)

or Is a TD watch enough to please my needs?

Thanks for helping out with these noob questions.

  10. For me, 'us' is all the rep brothers across the fora but this would be the friendliest bunch. I think there is more activity/members on RG and RWI which makes it easier to generate interest in local get togethers.

yeah i understand... to be honest i did notice there are a lot more people there (RWI) which makes it easier to trade, find more dealers (straps and watches) etc...

buttttt.... i just hate the way the website is made.. its hard to browse through to be honest... or maybe im just too used to here.

    Anyways

i'll go spy on the anarchy :p
