  1. Very nice build, but we want to see some gen movement pron.
  2. WOW! Very well written
  3. Damn, this looks nice. A great inspiration for my upcoming 5513 project.
  4. I don't know any watchmakers around Amsterdam who are willing to touch reps. Maybe some photo's could help to determine what is possible, and if you can fix it yourself.
  5. My Franken 16610, with a new gen M-series dial.
  6. Try VRF or VRM, you can probably find a gen 5513 dial there.
  7. Very nice build. Where did you source the crystal?
  8. 20 year old Gen Speedy Reduced on Bulang & Sons leather Nato strap.
  9. V6 Snow blower?? Wow. I am impressed.
  10. Awesome build. Wear it with pride.
  11. Thanks. I invested a bit more, but you are close. It was not cheap, but every time I bought one of these parts it gave me a kick, and I knew I got closer to the watch I wanted to build and wear. And as an added bonus, I have meet some great fellow watch addicts along this journey.
  12. I did spend $550 on the Sean midcase, it was not cheap, but it is money well spend. In the end this became the most expensive watch since I started this addictive hobby. I wanted to add a gen bracelet to it, but I decided to wear it with a Nato strap for now, until I had the funds to buy one. But that is put on hold because I stumbled upon my next Franken project here, I found a very nice Yuki 5513 case, gen 5513 dial and insert here in the M2M sales. So the cash for the bracelet is going into this project. The hunt is on for a gen movement, retainer ring, bezel and T19 superdome crystal. Selling it? Nope, I want to enjoy wearing it for a while.
  13. Nice. Been there, done that. (Dutch Air Force) Now I drive with this to work:
  14. I have build my own Franken, its not perfect, but everything is done by me. It has been so much fun, that I already started sourcing parts for my next (uber) Franken, a Rolex 5513.
  15. An oldie, my gen Speedy Reduced on a Peter Watchacc Nato.
  16. AJ, awesome piece. Wear it with pride.
  17. Thanks guys, indeed the dial doesn't look perfect in this close-up. But I am still wondering how it will look inside a case. For a vintage watch it doesn't have to be perfect.
  18. I stumbled upon this gen Rolex 16800 MK I dail, and I was thinking of replacing my current gen 16800 dial with another one. Should I go for this one if I want a earlier version Franken 16800? Asking price is around $900.
  19. Very nice, where did you buy this at MBK? I am planning to go for a long weekend to BKK when I am in Singapore
  20. Ended today with this beauty.
  21. It is finished, the insert arrived today, and it is looking great!
  22. Hope it gets resolved soon, and you receive the parts. Until now 'only' a gen Rolex 16800 dial was lost in the mail, and never arrived at my doorstep.
  23. +10 I don't care either if it is engraved or not. I choose it because it can take gen parts without modification, and when it is well serviced its a great movement. I would suggest to read this: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/150977-yukiwatch-3135-mini-review/
  24. Thanks guys for the compliments, still waiting for the insert, and I am busy sourcing a gen 93250 bracelet and clasp to complete this build.
  25. Mine was perfecly serviced by Misiekped, and was around $430. But these movements are hard to find these days.
