I also have a nice men's pearlmaster with a loose crown and a day-date wheel which is misaligned - worth doing?
Can you also source meteorite dials? With diamonds? For the day-date pearlmaster
Thanks Fraggle - wonder if there's a CONUS watchsmith who can assist with this. Nobody around me (southern cal) is helpful at all, and I would have no idea how to take the measurements or locate a suitable replacement crown.
Can anybody think of a solution? I've contacted the TD but no response yet. Two watchsmiths my area said it was not possible to change the tube, as it appears to be inseparable from the quartz movement.
Help - anybody have any good ideas. I bought the "best quality" 33 mm Chanel j12 from one of our TD's. The crown is far too big for the model - very unsightly. I bought a new crown from a part's dealer in HK, and the tube is too big. The first pic is what I got. The second is what it's supposed to look like.
Sorry about the disparity in the picture sizes!
1. I like the Cartier above (and no, I won't be taking part in any of the newly legalized nuptials in several US states)!
2. I bought my wife a Patek 24 with two rows of crystals and went all out - removed the cheap crystals and had real diamonds (hearts and fire cuts for those familiar) set.
She wears it EVERY day with no issues!
