Thanks for your reply! That is exactly what I did. I replaced all the date components, then sat there turning for a while. It's running perfectly now. With regard to dragging, it felt ok. It was just sticking on those burrs. I'm putting my money on poor quality metal.

You may have enough sitting there for a gen!

My old faithful SSD started developing a reduction in smoothness when changing dates. I also noticed that the date started becoming inaccurate on its daily change. I pulled it apart last night and noticed these burrs on the Datewheel teeth. Has anyone else noticed these hammer marks on the teeth? Will a gen date wheel have the same problem? Given that I've worn it nearly daily for 5 of the last 7 years and that until yesterday it had never had a service of any kind, I'm not too upset. Since I was replacing the Datewheel I also did my first Datewheel overlay. Not quite perfect, but acceptable for my first try. I will do it again another time.

Does anyone know of sellers accepting BitCoin? It may be a safer standard than the usual PayPal. Thoughts?

MD2020, Are you going to speak up and defend yourself? Your last log in time is publicly visible on your profile. How about clearing the air and reestablishing communications. I think that's what most of the anger is over. You may yet save your relationships and in the end make your customers happy.

What systems can we put in place to make dealings safer for both parties? How about a page logging who currently has who's watch and the date on which it was sent? Impose a maximum number of member's watches dealers are allowed in their possession at a time. This would allow members to check how long dealers tend to take and how many watches the dealer is also working on. Members could make a more informed decision about trust or distrust based on the information at hand. It would also limit the number of watches which could be stolen by a single dealer. Thoughts?

I have a similar opinion. Other than the inevitable 911 when I turn 40, I'll never own a non Japanese car. I've got 300,000kms on my MX5 and the only significant thing I've done is replace the clutch once. Not bad seeing as I take it on the track. And the extra bonus is that I get better fuel efficiency than my boss pottering around in his Prius... And yes, it's also my tow car for the race bike.

And you can't exactly drive Lambos every day either. Porsche is the best of both the super car world and the real world. Id love something like this. Batman's everyday car?

Coolest Porsche? Maybe! I am a big fan of the traditional 930 personally. Coolest sports car? Lamborghini may have an opinion on that. At least you know you can buy a Porsche and be fairly confident of arriving at your destination without requiring the fire department, a flat bed truck or a taxi. =)
